COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

Good IPA. Full bodied, aroma of floral and citrus hops. Flavor follows through from the aroma with citrus (orange and grapefruit) notes, and very floral. In balance.

Aroma of grass, moss, pine, and biscuit malt. Pours clear amber with a good blanket of froth. Taste is very mild with slight bitter grass and stale bread. Drinks close to a lager. Easy to knock back but not for hopheads.

May 2010. From bottle and my first beer from this brewer. Poured orange with an offwhite head. Floral and citrus aromas with a hoppy finish.

Bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach. Pours a clear pale orange with a white head. Aroma has pine and lemony citrus and faint dishwater. Taste is of sweet fruits, pine and a solid caramel backing. Finishes sweetly bitter and somewhat earthy. Light to medium body, somewhat IPAish. Not FFish’s best.

Poured a clear coppery amber color with thick white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, herbs, caramel, and rice. Taste is orange, pine, cinnamon, floral, caramel, and honey. Sweet finish, which is rather odd for an IPA but overall not bad.

Hazy amber with a big white head. Fruit tarts and caramel aroma. Odd hop profile in this one, both herbal and oddly fruity, a bit too much malt for my liking. Not much bitterness or pine though, which is a good thing. Easier drinking for an IPA. Not bad, kind of sad it didn’t taste like fish.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a translucent dark orange with a large white frothy cap on top. Great retention; lots of sticky lace rings left behind. Nice clean citrus aroma wafts out. Lemon, orange slices, leafy hops. A good bit of zip to this. Crisp, refreshing feel. Drinks very nicely. Great bitter snap that is full of flavor. Bitter citrus rinds, a touch of pepper, leafy herbs - that transforms into a a mellow sweet finish of honeycrisp apples and tangerine. This one really surprised me. It was so easy to drink and had a great balance of mild bitterness with a touch of sweetness. I will make sure to get some more of this. Just remember this isn’t supposed to be Sculpin or Stone IPA and the like, so please don’t review it like it is. This is an EIPA, and a good one at that.

Not a great IPA. Has a weird fruity taste to it that doesn’t go over well. Hops aren’t very strong either, blah, pass.
