Not the overly strong hop taste some ipas bring. I like the ever-present malt flavor that stays in you mouth. It may not appeal to the IPA purist, but I like this malty take on the IPA. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Local brewery for me, but I was really disappointed. Really weak hop flavor for an IPA. Really not on the caliber of the better IPAs. Not a "bad" brew, but there are so many better IPAs out there that this one is made pretty much worthless. soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Bottle: Dark copper color with a huge head. Nice aroma that contains chocolate and carmel. I was hoping that sweetness would show more in the taste but it was not very noticeable. I was disappointed in the overall hop taste as I felt as though it was lacking. Will drink again. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 22, 2008 12oz bottle; Pours out dark gold with average sized head. Medium bitterness and perfect mix with the sweet malts that create a mild citrus finish. I am a big fan of this IPA. Any idea about its’ IBU? HighlanderOne (547), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA

Not the hoppiest IPA, but definitely not lacking, and the hop blend, along with the malt, is quite good. Nice finish. Thumbs up from me. RiverShark (28), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

The flavor of this beer, well just try it. If you dont like hoppy beers than don’t bother. I rank this right up there with DogfishHead 60min IPA sinkr (241), Lusby, Maryland, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Bottle->plastic cup (tasting@brewery): Pours a rocky, off-white head that exhibits good lacking atop of a cloudy, dark brown body. Light malt aroma, light hop aroma (this is a detractor to me for an IPA) with an average yeast aroma. The body is light, thin texture, average carbonation and a chalky/astringent finish. The flavor’s duration is average and is moderately sweet, acidic, and bitter, as well as vinegar.
A middle-of-the-road beer that I’d put in a class (based on taste and appearance) with Budweiser. clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA
