At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a translucent dark orange with a large white frothy cap on top. Great retention; lots of sticky lace rings left behind. Nice clean citrus aroma wafts out. Lemon, orange slices, leafy hops. A good bit of zip to this. Crisp, refreshing feel. Drinks very nicely. Great bitter snap that is full of flavor. Bitter citrus rinds, a touch of pepper, leafy herbs - that transforms into a a mellow sweet finish of honeycrisp apples and tangerine. This one really surprised me. It was so easy to drink and had a great balance of mild bitterness with a touch of sweetness. I will make sure to get some more of this. Just remember this isn’t supposed to be Sculpin or Stone IPA and the like, so please don’t review it like it is. This is an EIPA, and a good one at that.

Poured into pint glass. I immediately smell the hops in this one. Golden/light amber body with 1/2 finger white head. Citrus dominates the aroma. Tastes clean, hops, citrus, and malt backbone. A good smooth medium palate. Pretty good but not the best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle pours a very lite straw-color. Moderate off-white head lasts about a minute or two. Some floral and citrus aromas from hops but not very impressive. Tastes a bit run of the mill with somewhat of a harsh aftertaste. Mouth feel is a bit thin with high carbonation.

Bottle. Pours orange gold with a sticky white head. Aroma is grassy hop, pear. There’s a grassy hop bitterness throughout, with caramel malt sweetness, toast and a touch of tangerine.

Good beer with an IPA taste. Would drink again but not necessarily my favorite IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really enjoyed the aroma, the finish was nice and clean for such a robust hoppyness.

Draft in Newark, NJ. An amenable up a that I wish had a bit more central grain body. It wavered a bit from the strong upfront hop laden citrus introduction. Finish dwindled normally. A decent brew overall.

From a bottle. Good pour but a very average taste. Wanted to like it more, but didn't. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap 5 oz. sample at Judges' Bench in Ellicott City, MD. Clear golden color with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt and light floral hops. Taste of herbal hops, biscuit malt and light fruit with an earthy and bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into df head ipa glass. Bright golden head. Nice foamy white head. Aroma is floral and a bit hoppy. Taste is floral malty in the beginning. Ending a bit bitter. Very good easy to drink ipa.

Pours a nice clear amber with a thick and fluffy cream-white head. Aroma is not too strong, but invitingly hoppy. Flavor is hoppy and fruity, the latter a little more citrus than apple/pear. Smooth texture leaves a light fizz and a somewhat hoppy finish. OK as IPAs go, but a worthy catch.
