At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a translucent dark orange with a large white frothy cap on top. Great retention; lots of sticky lace rings left behind. Nice clean citrus aroma wafts out. Lemon, orange slices, leafy hops. A good bit of zip to this. Crisp, refreshing feel. Drinks very nicely. Great bitter snap that is full of flavor. Bitter citrus rinds, a touch of pepper, leafy herbs - that transforms into a a mellow sweet finish of honeycrisp apples and tangerine. This one really surprised me. It was so easy to drink and had a great balance of mild bitterness with a touch of sweetness. I will make sure to get some more of this. Just remember this isn’t supposed to be Sculpin or Stone IPA and the like, so please don’t review it like it is. This is an EIPA, and a good one at that.

Pours an orange gold, coppery color with off-white head. Floral notes, light citrus, and some malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a balanced out malt bill. Would have liked more of a hop bite on the finish.

Tap at Dinosaur Bar-BQ Pours rather unclear, darker amber . Small white head ( rather stable ) Smell is unintense, slightly bittered malty scent . Taste is mild bitter . Malty , light aroma , but not as much as you’d expect from a US IPA . finish is a bit perfumy-fruity ... Seems to me like hopextracts, though I am not sure about that.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2015 Light brown with off white head. Light malt and earthy hop aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, some lemon citrus and hint of grassy hop. Slightly dry lemon finish. Bitterness and hop flavors more like a pale ale than an IPA.

Well-balanced English style IPA with a gentle but pronounced pine bitterness and some tropical fruit. A little too light on the body but quite refreshing.

on tap at Dog & Bull in Croydon - thought it would be super hoppy based on the name but it wasn’t. It was more bitter than hoppy. Clear golden color, not much aroma. Good but not great.

Bottle with pat and vinny. Pours a clear orange golden with thin white soapy head and lacing. Aroma is apricot, fruity malt, and vague bitter character. Mouthfeel is light with notes of lemon, fruity malt, light bitterness, some soap and perfume character.

Murky brown body with thin head. Minimal lacing. More of a malty aroma than the punch of hops I was expecting. Some citrusy hops are noticeable. Bitter hop flavor up front that is balanced out with citrus notes. Overall, drinkable, but nothing to write home about.

Pours amber-orange with a half finger off white head which fades to very little lacing. aroma is of pine, floral hops, citrus, sweet malts, caramel, light bready malts, and some toffee. Taste is about the same as the aroma, with the malt notes dominating. Has a medium body with a semi watery mouthfeel, with a semi bitter, slightly dry, medium-short finish. Overall, a decent English style IPA that is lacking a bit in complexity and body.

Light copper color with an off-white head. Fruity hop aroma, maybe a hint of tropical fruit. Not very bitter on the palate. Some maltiness on the palate. Easy drinking.
