COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there’s a floral and citrus hop finish. It’s then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

This beer is the definition of a typical obligatory IPA. Aroma was average. Light hoppiness, with citrus and notes of pine. Pour was a light orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was pretty boring. The grainy sweet malt backbone is balanced by lemon, grass and grapefruit hops. Neither flavor is very strong or full. The beer would be a good introduction to IPAs for a BMC drinker. Medium carbonation round the beer out. Slightly sweet finish.

A light brown color. A very airy, bubble looking head. A very thin texture. Almost flat. Burnt nutty flavor. Not very hoppy.

Draft @ renaissance, PHL. Sought hoppy aroma. Medium Amber color, nice lacing. Hoppy taste, a little piney with a touch of citrus. Bitter aftertaste. Appropriate body, medium. Overall not a bad IPA, but Middle of the road.

Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has a good bit of dry leaves and toffee without sweetness...some earthy hops. Flavor follows suit...balanced leaning toward Malty. Mouthfeel is light / medium and the finish is earthy / malty.

[on tap at Local 50, PHI airport] Perfumy hops aroma with some cereal grain and caramel malt; apricot and light pine accents. Clear light bronze under a persistent, thin, lacy white sheet. The malt flavour is darker than it looks, with pumpernickel and bread crusty caramel, complimented by bitter grapefruit pith, pine, and apricots. Medium body, moderate carbonation, midway between crisp and smooth.

"RJA was pretty spot on with this one. Not hoppy enough, too dark for an ipa, and a little too much sweet malty aroma, flavor and body for an ipa. below average beer - no need to revisit."

Very refreshing IPA. Not too heavy on the palate, perfect carbonation, floral and citrus notes from the hops. The malt bill is appropriate.

Bottle. Amber white head. I usually give IPAs a higher aroma score than taste but here it’s the inverse, you get the grapefruit pine blah blah on the nose but taste really tasted like a big fat juicy orange. Very little carbonation for the style made it taste even more like orange juice. Nice because it’s different.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance had a slight amber to orange color with a half finger white foamy head. There was a moderately light lacing sticking all around after the head died after a minute. The smell had some earthy hops with a gentle light malt underneath. The taste was semi-sweet with a decent light bitterness from the earthy and now coming across as somewhat English malty-like. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was fairly subdued. Overall, this came off as more of an English IPA to me. No worries, still somewhat decent enough to have again.

A good hoppy flavor, just not a ton of it. Decent beer, but on the thin side for an IPA.
