Reddish maltyness pouring into your pint glass, very dense tasting not much hop flavor noticable - there are better Oktoberfests...tries to taste like Spatan’s version. Just OK.

May 1, 2008 Pours a nice redish/copper color with a medium white head. Smells very malty and sweet. Very inviting. The taste is amazing! Not too think, not too bitter, sweet, well balanced. This is one of my favorite oktober beers!

Nov 2, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours a light copper color with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, floral hops and a hint of citrus. Flavor follows the aroma with a bittersweet finish

Nov 1, 2007 on tap @Old Bay-pours an off white head with bubbles and hazy amber color. Aroma is light/medium fruit/apples, vinegar, light malt. Taste is light/medium fruit/apples, vinegar, light malt.

Nov 1, 2007 Medium/dark amber color - a little cloudy with a thin uneven head. Aroma is bready and slightly earthy. Flavor is moderately sweet, but rather muddy without any crisp roastiness or well-formed body. Finish lingers a bit and is a little sticky. Nothing worth trying again.

Oct 29, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, bready, nutty, and earthy. Tastes of bread, caramel, nutty, and earthy.
