3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy brown with an orange hue and had an average sized (1-2 finger) off white rocky head that was mostly diminishing leaving behind a nice amount of residue allowing for some good lacing.
The aroma off the bat was of a piney hop with a toasted biscuit malt and a horse blanket scented yeast and also had a nice hint of caramel.
It tasted moderately sweet and malty at first then progressed into a sweet hopped up malty flavor with a nice note of caramel at the end that left the flavor lasting a nice long time after the swallow.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and slightly watery in texture with a soft carbonation.
Overall a very flavorful brew and a nice interpretation of the style.

Pours a clear amber amber with smallish head. Typical fest aroma of caramel and bready malts. A bit sweet with soapiness in the middle. A decent fest beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pouts an golden orange, with little to no head or lacing. Malty aroma no much to write home about. Nice tasting beer, malty sweet upfront followed by some hopiness, and finish nice and dry, nutty flavor.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an orange-amber color with a high amount of visible carbonation and a very good head..
The aroma is rather fruity for style, with hints of peach and citrus in addition to the solid malt base. The hops are not so fruity in tasting but do result in a good, bitter-sweet balance.
Medium-light body with well-chosen medium-high carbonation.

Pint on tap. Nice caramel color, medium head, decent lacing. It’s billed as an oktoberfest, not sure why it’s an altbier...I really thought it was very good. Lots of malty caramel tastes, barely a hit of hops. Lots of warmth, very enjoyable mouthfeel. High marks for a faithful reproduction that’s almost better than the beer it copies.
