COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust, smooth and full bodied with prominent chocolate notes. Five different malts from both the U.S. and Belgium and three varieties of hops (all from the Pacific Northwest) are required to give the beer its unique character.

Dark, mahogany color, yet a little thin/watery looking when held to the light. Head is big and fluffy, tan color. Smells of maple, syrup, chocolate, and some fruit: dark cherries or ripe plum. Tate is a little watery, gently drizzles sweet chocolate over the tongue then transitions to a sour/bitter coffee finish. Nothing great, nothing really terrible. Just a little watery, and not as much flavor as I expect from a porter.

Deep brown color with a thick tan head. Nuts, roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee in the aroma. Thick taste. Chocolate dominates the taste. Pretty smooth. Decent Porter!

Poured dark brown, slightly reddish with a medium sized tan head and no lacing. Aroma of nuts and roasted malt. Chocolate, coffee taste and a rather average mouthfeel. Nothing all that spectactular but an enjoyable porter.

Brown colour with a super thick dense light brown head. Sweet fresh fragrant malty aroma. Medium-bodied; Sweet taste of caramel, roasted malt and bananas. Bubble gum and tutti-frutti tastes line the palate. Overall, a decent beer-a bit different than the norm. Very nice to try this beer! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqour in Washington and sampled it on 30-November-2003.

Nice dark robe, opaque, with a nice chocolaty aroma. Full rich body, with some good chocolate moka finish, some of the bitterness coming more from the dark malt.
