This beer pours out of the bottle with a very dark garnet red color when held up to the light with a loose beige head that shrinks to a slick relatively quickly. Big blast of roast coffee and chocolate in the nose as I poured it. Lots of almost burnt toast, dark chocolate, ash and an almost berry fruitiness. The beer thins out and sweetens as it warms. Finish is stale coffee bitterness. This is a porter I would gladly try again.

Roasty/toasty chocolate malts dominate. It's a rather malty beer, and you've got to give credit to FF Brewing for not skimping on the ingredients here. The hop content is somewhat light to moderate, so don't expect a bitter porter. Very nice.

good all around porter. Nice roasted malts, dark color and good smell. I still think anchor is my favorite porter.

This is a nice smooth porter that leaves you with a good aftertaste. It’s decently smooth and not any bitter aftertaste. It could use a more of a darker flavor however.

Pours a medium-to-thin viscosity. Black on its own with mahogany accents when put to light, and a bubble island in the center for the head with a routinely replenished tan wrung on the outskirt. Dark chocolate powder registers in the nose first, complimented by bubble gum, melted semi-sweet chocolate chips, mocha java and chocolate milk. Fuller flavor than expected. Sweet tendencies of brown sugared oats and Hershey syrup in an iced, blended cappuccino. The tribute to the agility of the cocoa bean continues with sludgy chocolate milk and hot chocolate brought to room temperature overnight. Medium-bodied with a well executed balance combination. On the palate, it’s in and it’s out; over and done with. No time for soliciting. At most, there’s a mild dry lingering on the finish when all’s said and done. Nice, solid robust chocolate porter. Thanks to Thaichile for the bottle!

From bottle thanks to Immy. Dark mahogany pour with thin head. Nose of roasted chocolate malt and coffee. Flavor follows with a silky mouth feel. Well done.
