3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2003Roasty/toasty chocolate malts dominate. It's a rather malty beer, and you've got to give credit to FF Brewing for not skimping on the ingredients here. The hop content is somewhat light to moderate, so don't expect a bitter porter. Very nice.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with tinges of ruby. Head reduces to a thin but persistent and creamy tan. Hardly any lacing. Smells lightly of roasty, creamy dark malt. Taste is not as roasty as you think. Sweetish dark biscuity malt, fades to a creamy chocolatey flavor with a quite light but satisfying bitter coffee flavor. Aftertaste is the bitter coffee lingering in low levels for quite a while. A lighter bodied porter but it delivers on the subtle balanced flavors. Easy drinker.
