On tap at the brewpub. Served in a pint glass. Pours light brown with orange highlights. Small, short lived off white head. Malty aroma. Caramel malt flavor, although not as sweet as some. Palate was a bit thin. Not outstanding, but not bad.

dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 9, 2005
Deep golden/light amber in color with no head. Aroma of sweet malt, mild caramel. Flavor is of oxidative properties, tang, acidic, malty with a dry finish.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 9/20
tiggmtl (4467) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 31, 2005
American hops feature in the fruity aroma. Medium brown colour with shy, off-white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Vinous and grapey fruit flavours don’t seem to meet the flat dark malts or the grassy, haylike hops. Medium-light body is just a touch watery with low carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - MAR 29, 2005
New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #8. Small sample at the brewpub. Translucent light copper with a minimal head...sweet caramel and some decent pungent herbs in the nose...light sweet flavor, ok at first but undone by thin grapiness.

3.3
   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Rastacouere (5900) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Hazy chestnut brown, limited head. Slightly floral, caramelic, grapey and earthy yet light nose. Well contained acidity compared to many of their other beers. This has plenty of fruit flavours, nutty undertones as well as melon, darkberries and appleskin complexities. Wet mouthfeel is accompanied by mellow carbonation.

3.2
   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
MartinT (6150) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 28, 2005
Muscular cherries and peaches dsitribute their ample sweetness onto the citrus fruit...A rotund body exposes some buttery exhales...Acidic sourness and metallic undertones baffle, as does the English range of flavors and mouthfeel for this "bock"...
