COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For those of you that love the flavor of traditional beer without the bitterness, this one is for you. This deep amber-reddish beer is very malty and full bodied with very subtle hop flavors.

tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, - MAR 31, 2005
Mild hop nose with some husky graininess and notes of caramel and earth. Clear amber-brown with decent white head that recedes to ring with some lace. Caramel maltiness up front is pleasant with a light bitterness that takes the edge off. Nice and malty and drinkable. Medium body with low carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

A golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet berry malt with funky hops. In mouth, a crisp malt with very British hops, biscuitty malts, not bad, medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 27 2009.

From a growler acquired at the pub. The pour is a nice looking amber-red with carbonation bubbles clinging to the side of the pint glass and very little upward flowing. Kind of interesting in that way. The aroma has a subtle scent of malts.. Decent mouthfeel. I would characterize the taste as bitter and of caramel. It ends with dry hops. It actually goes down fast, which is probably not a good idea when the ABV is 6.3%. I might drink too many of them.

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - MAR 29, 2005
New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #4. Small sample at the brewpub. Medium slightly hazy amber with a touch of white head and lacing...grainy, slightly woody (oaky) nose with hints of dried sweet fruits...woody, lightly vinous and lactic body, dry finishing bitterness.

Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Dark yellow, fair white ring. Very dry and fruity nose. Appealing woody hops, expressive berries. Strongly fruity palate, original flavours, well mellowed vegetal aspect let the fruity and earthy English hops dominate the finish. Very little carbonation, medium body. Crockett corner oatmeal stout

Earthy caramel stands tall amongst the domineering sweet malt panorama...Leafy hops attempt balance but soon understand this one’s not about this at all...Not entirely cohesive flavors, not to style, but who cares, this is pretty good...
