COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A very light, clean, crisp, refreshing beer. It has a nice clean hop finish that is ever so subtle. The natural reddish color comes from a touch of roasted barley.

Poured from a growler acquired at the pub in Nov.2008. It pours more brown than red although there are some reddish tones and cloudy. Foamy light brown head that dissipates in just a couple of moments. The aroma is crisp and clean but the usual scents of beer are fairly weak. Some hops are noted. Moderate mouthfeel. Hops are the overpowering element of the flavor and it is a bit on the sour side. Flying Goose has its ups and downs. They say this is one of their more popular brews but I favor their darker brews more than this one.

Mild American hop nose is overshadowed by buttery aroma. Opaque amber-brown with thin ring and partial cover of off-white head. Fairly hoppy and bitter but flavour also shows a fair buttery character. Extremely dry with not a lot of malt character to support. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Butterscotch and a sweet, round malt body proceeds into workmanlike residual bitterness...Oversweet, not entirely cohesive bold flavors create a short-lived interest...Probably interesting for the neophyte slowly crossing over...

(Growler) Pours a medium, frothy white head and a copper body. Nose was mainly of malt and fizzy. The flavour was rather hoppier than I had expected but all in all the recipe was bland and watery. Alltogether a sub-par beer but the company I kept was definitely good. Thanks for sharing this Sean!

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JAN 20, 2004
Sample at the brewpub. Translucent copper, creamy looking. Very light malty nose, watery body, slightly woody, bitter quick finish. Rare it is that I find a brewpub red ale that I would ever think of tasting again; this is no exception.

Amber toned color with extreme haziness(unfiltered/or never clearified?).Bready/yeasty aroma and flavor with a tiny malt character.
