On tap at the brewery. Aroma is sweet. Appearance is dark brown with a nice head. Flavor is of malt and some brown sugar. No intense hop flavors as the description would lead you to believe. Nice full palate and not overly carbonated. A very drinkable brown ale.

On-tap at the brewpub in New London, NH. One finger head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a some lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Malty nose. Starts balanced, brewer has it "full of hops" but the hops are not in your face. Slight bitter finish.

Fair American hop aroma with some underlying maltiness. Amber-brown body is topped by a decent cover of white head that recedes with some lacing. Fair malt body with some roastiness. Medium body with decent carbonation and a smooth texture. Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

Nice murky brown body is topped by a whiff of beige creamy, sticky and well laced. Caramelic and nutty aroma emanates on a earthy background and is backed by aptly subdued mellow hops. Doesn’t quite hold up flavourwise even if the nose was quite light. It has a strong aftertaste with a bit too much sourness, in a nutty way somehow, slightly vegetal and woody as well. Smooth bodied though, creamy yet moderately carbonated. Good brewpub beer.

Earthy, nutty sweetness treads on the shy hop end-bitterness...Toffee uneasily participates at the onset of mild sourness...Very easy drinking for what it advertises...

(Growler) How cool is it when your neighbour brings you a growler from a trip abroad? Pours headless with a deep reddish-brown body. The beers is still somewhat chilled so the nose is a strong caramel and roasted malt aroma. The flavour is that of a fortified brown ale - very malted, oily texture with a mild bitter hop finish. Overall a very enjoyable beer.
