COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional German Hefeweizen (cloudy wheat beer). Low on hop flavours with a large percentage of locally grown wheat in the grain bill. The use of a low flocculating German wheat yeast creates a cloudy finish, similar to a Hoegarden. Very refreshing, palate cleansing beer, great as your first beer on a hot day, goes well with seafood.

Don’t always like wheat beers but this one I could drink. Banana and cloves on the nose and the same in the taste also a little dusty and finishes a little sweet.

Trying desperately to be authentic with some subtle clove and spice but unfortunately this sample is dominated with a tang and sour piney hop. Not crazy over-the-top but enough to obscure the wheat beer fruits. And, probably a technical fault at that. Could be a bad bottle so happy to try again at some point.

Bottle 330ml. Very nice heffeweizen. Aromas of banana, citrus, bubblegum, and apple. Taste is sweet, with a touch of sourness, and good length. Palate is velvety, with a thin-to-medium body. Yellow, cloudy, with a frothy head.

330ml bottle. Like all hefeweizens there is a thick creamy foam that fills the glass and makes you wait while it settles. Honey coloured body that is suffocated by the foam head. Banana, cloves and vanilla in the nose lead you into a bitter sour head shaking flavour with a long lasting aftertaste.

Pours cloudy amber with a huge head. Too huge. Nose shows classic doughy wheat with hints of cloves. Little else. Simple but still nice. More wheat flavour with lots of tangy lemon that’s quite annoying. Quite sweet. Carbonation is too high. Very high...

Draught at the brewpub. Clouldy gold with a white foamy head. A typical hefe aroma - yeastie, orange zest, cloves. Could hardly taste it they serve it so cold. Some sour citrus and sweeter yeast coming though.
