Dark black beer with a thin dark brown head. Aroma is very sweet and chocolatey. Milk chocolate and a touch of earthy character. Flavour is very chcolatey with just a soft roastiness on the back. I quite like this actually.

daknole (7205) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 11, 2008
bottle thanks to unclemike. Pours a black color with a big bubbled dark tan head. Aroma is verty toasty malt and very much coffee. And the taste is a dry coffee flavor with some dry hop/malt in the background. Carbonation is right, mouthfeel is a bit watery. Still a fun beer to drink.

CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 25, 2007
Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, wispy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with some mild earthiness. Body starts fairly full with a nice, light sweetness and well-dissolved carbonation drying out more toward bittersweet, earthy dark chocolate finish. A pretty good dry stout.

A more than competent stout that lives up to its rating. Pours black with a whisp of a white head. Decent roasty aroma. About average mouthfeel, with some chocolate in there. Very drinkable stout.

Ughsmash (6671) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 4, 2007
Bottled. Poured very deep brown, perhaps black with a grand initial cap of deep brown head.. receded rather quickly. The aroma picked up lightly smoked dark chocolates above all, simple, but well-executed.. nice ’n malty. The flavor had nice dark chocolate and light smoke initially, but picked up heavy sour tannins on the back-end.. came back with some dried dark chocolate and cocoa at the finish. Probably a touch lighter on medium-bodied on the palate with a decent flow. Not bad.
