If I had 2 million Ecuadorian Cocoa Nibs... I would brew you an Imperial Chocolate Stout. Brewing with BNL demanded a rare treat -organic Ecuadorian Cocoa nibs -to create a rich, friendly Imperial Chocolate Stout as sweet and quirky as the bandís music. We lovingly aged this beer on a bed of luscious raw cocoa nibs creating a black velvety brew so fudge-y it makes you want to lick the inside of your glass. Opaque as chocolate cake, this roasty brew pours topped with a whipped mocha froth. The creamy dark cocoa flavours gently warm with a steady 10%ABV. No bitterness to this stout, just a chocolate boldness that, like a happy memory or a perfect song, keeps on giving. And like great music, this bottle is meant to be shared with special friends and family.

Bottle around the campsite at BCTC. Pours a deep murky looking brown with a thin beige tan head. Smells like Bosco. Fitting for a BCTC that was Seinfeld themed. Big fat chocolate. Loads of sweet chocolate with some sweet roast. Chewy roast and more chocolate. Interesting and definitely tasty, but much like Southern Tierís Choklat I really couldnít envision myself drinking more than a couple ounces. Also, this stuff took forever to wash the scent of out of our glasses for the next beer.

Single in a box at the LCBO, with 10% ABV. Pours a real dark brown with very little highlights. Big chocolate pudding aroma with the cacao powder, hints of plum pudding and nuts. Medium-full bodied with a smooth oily and creamy mouthfeel. Starts on a sharp note with the roasted malts and mild bitter hops, to then go into the chocolate cake, molasses and finish on a slight dry hoppy lingering end. Amazingly not too sweet and not too heavy. What an awesome dessert beer (which it was not limited).

Bottle share. Pure blackness. Vanilla, chocolate, raisin, silk, unicorn foreskin, angel-dressed midget tears, and animal crackers. Tastes like cocoa, lactose, biscuit, cream. The best cream. I love cream. This cream is really good. Some of the best.

Solid black with a good chocolate head. Aroma is chocolate sauce, marshmallow, cocoa, vanilla. Syrupy mouthfeel, full bodied, sweet on the palate with a hint if booze on the finish. Taste is chocolate, marshmallow, cocoa, hints of wood and mocha. So chocolatety.

Pours black with chocolate milk head. You can smell this from a mile away. Itís all chocolate. Amazing. Smells like brownies, chocolate milk and vanilla. Tastes like chocolate milk, brownies soaked in booze, and all things good. If you enjoy a nice chocolate-based imperial stout...this is the ticket. Sweet chocolate with just enough roasted malt and boozy bitterness to make this one of the best chocolate based beers Iíve ever had.

I found this beer to be much better than the band. Much more in the chocolate milk vein than bittersweet or dark chocolate, though still not too terribly sweet.

750 mL bottle. Less a stout, more a boozy, chocolate dessert. The aroma is strong and pure chocolate. Pours almost black with a beautiful long-lasting head. On the tongue, more chocolate and some roasted flavours. You can taste the booze (10%!!). Overall nicely done but not a beer I want to drink a lot of. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2013 Big chocolate blast almost overkill for me. Great stout base. Anyone who likes a dark beer with strong chocolate will love this.

750mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks Mike), pours black with a large foamy tan head. Aroma of pure liquid milk chocolate and chocolate fudgesicle. Flavour of pure liquid chocolate, mocha, cocoa beans, a little caramel and some espresso beans. Very rich chocolatey flavours, with a very deep profile. Super rich and fairly complex despite being monolithically chocolatey. One of the best chocolate stouts out there. Wonderful stuff.

It pours deep dark brown, almost black; the head is beige and foamy. The aroma has notes of: chocolate, mocha, biscuit, and a hint of coffee. The taste is medium sweet that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: fudge, chocolate, espresso, light black berries, and milk-chocolate. The palate is medium-full bodied, has very low carbonation, sticky, and a long chocolaty finish. Overall, if youíre like me and love cuddling up to a bar of chocolate and gobbling it like an ass - youíll like this beer.
