A very good chocolate beer. Sweet chocolate aroma fills a boardroom. Very dark brown with lasting head, a little lace. Smooth mouthfeel. Major league achievement. Hot boozy follow on. Worth trying, and hits the mark though not the greatest in the style. Still, lots and lots of chocolate, similar to Baker’s chocolate or a decile better.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours pitch black with a huge frothy mocha head. Aroma is extremely heavy in chocolate, with a little vanilla and roasted grain scents. Taste is chocolate sweet throughout with a noticeable dry bitter kick in the finish. Full bodied, rich and creamy on the palate and softer carbonation. Overall a chocolate monster, that is quite delicious.

When i opened this beer i could smell the chocolate right away. It smelled great. It has rich thick texture with small coffee brown head that does not stick around for too long unfortunately. It tastes of dark chocolate, like 70% cocoa ones. Really nice beer, goes well with chocolate cake but its hard to drink much of it.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a thick oily black with a small brown head. This is bar none the most chocolatey beer i’ve ever smelled. It smells like instant pudding, chocolate milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips. It’s not a really complicated smell, but it sure is massive chocolate. Taste is lots of chocolate obviously, some bitter chocolate, cocoa and sugar. It’s not quite as sweet as Choklat, but it’s very close. Sticky beer, hard to drink much of it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 750 ml
Aroma: one of the more potent aromas. Smooth creamy milk chocolate , touch of caramel but not too sweet. Hint of cocoa bean behind. Slightly woody , dry bark like finish. 7+
Apperance: handsome , dark brown, viscous. Medium plus thick creamy light brown cap. Nice lace. 4+
Taste/Palate etc. Full bodied. Wow, I was expecting a lot of chocolate but this is insane! Chocolate palate killer. How you could make this so intense? One sided brown feel with slight bitterness on top ends. This is rated at 10% but heat is all covered in chocolate fudge. I have to give kudos for brewing so unique. I don’t get surprised much anymore after trying over 6000 different beers in my life. I did with this one. Great potential but this could be developed further. Darker malts to give more depth with solid bold hop that could wrap such creating in neat balance. Right now this is more of good , very unique creation than masterpiece.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle: pours a dark opaque black wth a 2 finger cocoa colored meringue cap. Modest carbonation. Aroma is massive – pungent and fills the room with malty- cocoa aromas like a chocolate bundt cake just taken from the oven. The mouth feel is rich and viscous, The flavour is intense but not complex ( I think this isn intended with thiskind of big brew). The front is dominated by cocoa-maltiness wih enough roasty astringence nd hop bittering t keep the sweetness at bay, The long rich finish goes a tad dry and then you get big coffee flavors near the end. What a brew! Big win with this Peter, makes Young’s double chocolate stout and Southern tier CB seem pale by comparison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours your typical motor oil black with a short lived beige cap. The aroma is milk chocolate, dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, baking chocolate, and chocolate chocolate. . . .the flavour pretty much follows suit. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying the beer, but at over 10 bucks a bottle I can’t say I’ll be buying this again.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma CHOCOLATE, LOTS OF MILK CHOCOLATE. Pours a solid black with none lasting tan head and some lacing. The taste like the nose is CHOCOLATE. There is some bitterness in the finish. Medium-full body with soft carbonation - smooth mouthfeel. Overall, while I love chocolate, a little of this goes a long way. Pretty much a one trick chocolate pony.
