4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Hammy78 (614) - Dundas, Ontario, - JAN 20, 2013Bottle picked up at the LCBO. Pours a midnight black witha khaki head and little islands of lace. Smells like hot chocolate, and I mean really chocolate. Tastes like chocolate malt, sugar sweet, bitter, a bit chalky. Coffee is in there too. Needless to say, it’s very good.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 gramity (1056) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 14, 2013
Pours black with chocolate milk head. You can smell this from a mile away. It’s all chocolate. Amazing. Smells like brownies, chocolate milk and vanilla. Tastes like chocolate milk, brownies soaked in booze, and all things good. If you enjoy a nice chocolate-based imperial stout...this is the ticket. Sweet chocolate with just enough roasted malt and boozy bitterness to make this one of the best chocolate based beers I’ve ever had.

I found this beer to be much better than the band. Much more in the chocolate milk vein than bittersweet or dark chocolate, though still not too terribly sweet.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 RxForHealth (73) - - APR 27, 2013
750 mL bottle. Less a stout, more a boozy, chocolate dessert. The aroma is strong and pure chocolate. Pours almost black with a beautiful long-lasting head. On the tongue, more chocolate and some roasted flavours. You can taste the booze (10%!!). Overall nicely done but not a beer I want to drink a lot of.

ilot batches of this were available prior to release with varying levels of chocolate, including on cask at Cask Days as Mark Henry Sexual Chocolate, which was a blend of a pilot batch and the production batch.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mcberko (4056) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2013
750mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks Mike), pours black with a large foamy tan head. Aroma of pure liquid milk chocolate and chocolate fudgesicle. Flavour of pure liquid chocolate, mocha, cocoa beans, a little caramel and some espresso beans. Very rich chocolatey flavours, with a very deep profile. Super rich and fairly complex despite being monolithically chocolatey. One of the best chocolate stouts out there. Wonderful stuff.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chris__hartley (162) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2013
It pours deep dark brown, almost black; the head is beige and foamy. The aroma has notes of: chocolate, mocha, biscuit, and a hint of coffee. The taste is medium sweet that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: fudge, chocolate, espresso, light black berries, and milk-chocolate. The palate is medium-full bodied, has very low carbonation, sticky, and a long chocolaty finish. Overall, if you’re like me and love cuddling up to a bar of chocolate and gobbling it like an ass - you’ll like this beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sammy (7035) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2013
A very good chocolate beer. Sweet chocolate aroma fills a boardroom. Very dark brown with lasting head, a little lace. Smooth mouthfeel. Major league achievement. Hot boozy follow on. Worth trying, and hits the mark though not the greatest in the style. Still, lots and lots of chocolate, similar to Baker’s chocolate or a decile better.
4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Sask89 (326) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - FEB 18, 2013
Pours pitch black with a huge frothy mocha head. Aroma is extremely heavy in chocolate, with a little vanilla and roasted grain scents. Taste is chocolate sweet throughout with a noticeable dry bitter kick in the finish. Full bodied, rich and creamy on the palate and softer carbonation. Overall a chocolate monster, that is quite delicious.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Raistlin (57) - London, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2013
When i opened this beer i could smell the chocolate right away. It smelled great. It has rich thick texture with small coffee brown head that does not stick around for too long unfortunately. It tastes of dark chocolate, like 70% cocoa ones. Really nice beer, goes well with chocolate cake but its hard to drink much of it.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dresden (519) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - FEB 15, 2013
Pours a thick oily black with a small brown head. This is bar none the most chocolatey beer i’ve ever smelled. It smells like instant pudding, chocolate milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips. It’s not a really complicated smell, but it sure is massive chocolate. Taste is lots of chocolate obviously, some bitter chocolate, cocoa and sugar. It’s not quite as sweet as Choklat, but it’s very close. Sticky beer, hard to drink much of it.
