3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A decent refreshing quaff, but I just have difficulty giving most session IPAs really high marks. A nice spritzy hop profile in the nose, leading with lemon and orange. The body is a dead clear light straw colour with a pretty standard well-laced white head. A nice refreshing taste with some fresh fruitiness. Again, lemon and orange lead the way with a touch of pineapple and mild, sweet, slightly biscuit malt. Body is a bit thin but the hops persist pretty well for a session ale.

Can. Clear yellow body, medium white head with average retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of sweet cereal, a touch of citrus, herbs and corn. Taste of cereal, not the most pleasant bitter herbs, sugar, cardboard and metallic notes. Subpar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Aroma is crisp fruity hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, light biscuity malt. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter. Body is light. Thinnish but quite crisp and refreshing with plenty of aromatic fruity hops, goes down well.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.
Looks: Clear light golden colour with a thin trace of misty yeast particles; Half finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with quite fizzy small carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant and fresh Ale malt, with pineapples, light grapefruits, strong floral nectar, pine, lemon and grass.
Taste: Near zero sweet light Ale malt, with light grapefruits, light floral, dry biscuits, thin pine, lemon, fairly bitter hops and grass.
Body: Mid to light body. Very slick palate.
Mouth Feel: Light Ale maltyness in a thick and smooth background. Very dry with almost no sweetness but also a bit empty besides the amber-ish Melanoidin and bitter grapefruits. Pine is short with lemon to round. Fairly good!
Hoppiness: Pineapples, light grapefruits, strong floral nectar, pine, lemon and grass in nose. Light grapefruits, light floral, thin pine, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent lemony finish.
After Taste: Dry. Light citrusy and quite bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one is maybe too to-the-style, where the aroma is quite pinpoint perfect with fruity floral sweetness. Taste is a bit thin on malt as well as low grapefruit sensation. Smooth and thick body otherwise, it would be nicer if the malt can be up a little. Easy and okay.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from lcbo. Spicy aroma with light resin and lemon notes. Lemon and spice in the taste. A bit of a crisp lager finish that makes me surprised it’s an ale. Not too bad!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can @ LCBO, they had it catagorized as a "Wheat" idiots but more on that later.
I got over it. This is really very tasty beer and @ 3.8 abv extremely good.
Some days a beer that is just tasty after a day of mind numbing borefest is the ticket. Highly recommended.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can from LCBO. Light golden orange pour with a white head. Thin body, bright palate, too much malt and a little stale cardboard. Forgettable.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Translucent straw yellow, very little visible carbonation. Very light aroma, a touch too light in my opinion - faint grassy hops and tangerine/orange candy. More flavourful than the average session IPA, considerable amount of sweet caramel malt and dry, bready hops. Bitterness is short and refreshing. Nice, crisp palate that isn’t too thin. I’ve always found Flying Monkeys beers to be a bit more malt-forward relative to style, and this is no exception. Not necessarily my preference, but this delivers what you expect out of a session IPA.

Rating #1730 - 2015.06.05 - Sample from @49thParallelYEG at Beerfest - Beautiful aromatics erupt from a golden yellow pour with a bubbly white head - grapefruit, pine. Mild toffee sweetness, mild earthy, piney bitterness. Very tasty.
