[3717-20110510] Cask. Fragrant orange pith hops aroma. Murky, dark orange red body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Mild bitter orange seed flavour has quite a lot of muted citrus and resin hops. Full body is mildly bitter and hides that big alcohol well. Quite tasty, nice balance. (8/4/8/4/15) 3.9

Draught at Volo. Pours a hazy dark copper with a small long-lasting fizzy off-white head. Aroma is nice, it’s quite fruity with lots of resiny hops. Flavour: Wow, that’s boozy! Fruity with lots of alcohol, malt and a really bitter finish. Medium bodied. Smells great but it’s hard to drink, there’s just too much alcohol. (I see jerc wrote it was on cask but my notes says draught, I certainly could have been mistaken though.)

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2011 2011-05-10. Hazy dark orange body small white head. 3+ Fruity hop aroma, with notes of tropical fruit. Mild green hop notes. 7+ Flavor is similar, tropical fruit and modest sweet citrus, moderate bitterness throughout, sort of harp pithy bitterness in the finish leaves a sweet pithy lemon note in the finish. Alcohol is remarkably restrained. 7+ Smooth average palate has mild carbonation. Pretty decent. Cask didn’t seem quite as nice the next night though. Cask? at Volo, Toronto
