3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark mahogany color with rich beige head with high retention. Amazing label. Aroma of choclate, roasted coffee and vanilla, with pine and herbal notes. Body is light to medium, a bit weak for me. Taste follows the aroma, with espresso coffee and cocoa, but also pine and citrus fruits. Good bitterness on the aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from a bottle,
this ale had a clear dark brown-black pour and it gave a one finger tan colored head that receded to a film and ring, when the glass was held to a light, I could see a dark red /ruby at the bottom of the glass, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass,
the nose had aromas of citrus, herb and grass hops and roasted malt and a little roasted grain notes,
coffee and some hints of dry chocolate with a bit of dark brown sugar,
the flavors were roasted malt and grain, some coffee, and just a little malt and brown sugar sweetness,
the finish had a god hop bitterness with roasted malt and coffee thereafter,
the mouth feel was light on the palate, it was creamy and the drink had average carbonation,
a roasted malt and citrus, grass hop beer on the nose and palate, a nice drink.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle from Sr. Lúpulo, Gijón. 09-11-2014.
Bottled: 17 Dec 2013.
In short: nice hoppy dark ale.
Pours black with nice light tan head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Fruity, roasty aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste follows the nose, some roasty and melanoidin character with a fruity hoppy profile overimposed. Moderate bitterness, smooth and quite well executed. Very enjoyable.

J’ai pas envie de commenter. donc voila:
netherworld (plural netherworlds)
The place to which one’s spirit descends upon death, conceived as below the surface of the earth.
In some religions, one’s soul departs to a netherworld, hell, instead of the heavens.
The locale of the spirit world or afterlife, whether deemed to be situated below the world of the living or not.
While I was astrally projecting, I felt my soul pass through many insubstantial netherworlds.
Specifically, a location of punishment in the afterlife; a hell.
The missionary was motivated by a sincere desire to rescue souls from eternal torment in the netherworld.
(by extension) A hidden, shadowy, or sinister subculture, such as that of organized crime.
Richard had been initiated to the netherworld of dog racing by his father, and knew all the popular greyhound performance enhancing drugs.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Deep brown in colour with a long lasting tan head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of citrus hops, some grapefruit, light roasted malt in the back. The flavour is toasty first, earthy with some coffee, hops come in at the back, pine and citrus. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter, roasty and hoppy. The other Black IPA’s I’ve had have been quite hoppy. This is stepped back a bit, good balance.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Served in snifter at cellar temp (~10-15mins out of fridge). I can immediately see why this opaque black-bodied beer is called Netherworld - Hades lets more light in. Head was a coffee beige colour and an aroma of mocha and beer wafted from the glass with the first sip. Netherworld sports a soft carbonation, creamy texture and a strong, rounded finish. Flavours of roasted coffee and sweet light chocolate malt work spectacularly with the bitter tone set by the hops.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
