COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Heeding a chorus of voices crying for a dark roasty thing with lots of west coast hops and a higher ABV, we summoned Netherworld from the chaotic flipside of the brewhouse where hybrid is the norm and nothing is ordinary. Hovering just this side of evil, in the right hands, our «Cascadian Dark Ale» is bizarrely nice with its own entrancing mojo. However, watch out for those who refuse to see the darkness.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head with very good lasting and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, light nutty and fresh hops. Flavor has a decent bitterness, some citrus notes, moderate maltyness with toasted and candy sugar traces. The final is bittery with toasted notes. Very enjoyable!

Much more bitter than a Guinness. Along the lines of a Wellington Imperial Russian Stout. 6% abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at SBWF. Fruity and hoppy smell and taste with a dark maltbase. Easy to drink, nice that the roasted malts doesn’t take over.

sudomorph (910) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2013
355 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with a one finger tan head that leaves big rings on the glass. Aroma is roasty with hints of bread, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Taste is a medium bitter with slightly roasted, bitter aftertaste. Low-medium body with a medium carbonation. Clean mouth feeling with a good amount on bubbly carbonation to keep it light and refreshing. Very nice brew from the Monkey! Will buy again.

Bottle. Pours a clean dark brown with a reddish hue; medium light brown head. Dark, roasty malt flavour with plenty of hops and notes of chocolate, espresso and smoke. Quite bitter, but balanced and tasty.

Pours black with a light tan head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, toast. Taste is pretty light on the malt up front, nice toast and caramel notes with a pronounced west coast hop finish.
