Aroma big frontal feel of candy, clove and various spices. Fresh pumpkin pie aroma. Clean and proper to name.
Appearance slight haze on brown shaded offering. Rocky mid top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Big rich flavours , variations of clove , cinnamon , ginger. Very nice seasonal feel. Hops help balance this crazy mix. Not over done mind you. Very nice.

Cask - at Volo Cask Days 2010, Day 1. 60 IBUs. Clear deep ruby pour with an average frothy off-white (almost a greenish tinge to it) head. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg and dry deep roast or burnt pumpkin / pumpkin seed - simple, but different and welcome. Taste is INCREDIBLY bitter - like it’s mostly raw cinnamon pitched in it, and in huge quantities - but as unbalanced as that is, I loved it. Very thick, incredibly astringent, with a long dry spice/bitter finish - lovely beer, couldn’t drink tons of it, but really, really good.

Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2010’ . Pours a very dark brown with a spare bubbly beige head. Aroma’s quite spicy along with roasted malt and maybe some pumpkin. Flavour of roasted malt, light hops and a spicy, dry finish. Average bodied. Pretty good, a nice festive beer.

[3440-20101029] Cask. Yummy aroma of pumpkin pie crust with spices and a little alcoholic cleaner. Hazy, dark brown red body with a quick creamy off-white head. Light bitter spiced fruit malt flavour. Medium body. Could stand more carbonation but pretty good.

Tap at Volo, in Cask. Great beer. Aromas of cinnamon, anisette, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes. Palate is velvety, with a medium-to-full body. Amber, with a frothy head.

2010-10-29. Very dark brown body with a modest frothy beige head. 3+ Strong but pleasant spice in the aroma. Flavour is similar, strong spice as in the aroma but it is just a bit too strong at times, and well proportioned at others. Average bodied palate. Pretty good in a small sample, but the intensity of the spices would make it hard to drink a whole pint I suspect. Cask at Volo, Toronto

High alcohol a.b.v. extreme cask enhoyed at Bar Volo Cask Days Festival 2010. Wafting pumpkin sice. Dark/Opaque colour with cask bubbles.Boozy, allspice, kitchen cabinet of spice, that overwhelms the pumpkin portion. Over the top. Needs balance, cut down the spice use, and am for lower a.b.v.
