On tap at the Only Cafe during the FM tap take over. So I have no idea what happened with this beer, especially I talked to people who had it 2-3 days before me and thought it was decent. My experience was epic - epically bad. So bad that I wish I could have bottled some and provided it to all those lovers of terrible beers. Dark mahogany with a beige head. Hard to get past the overwhelming nail polish (even once it warms up) aroma although there is some sour plum and berries. Moderate carbonation and offensive on the palate, nail polish and fruit with a sourness that brings out some cherry and vomit on the finish.

Ruddy pour with a thick white head. The nose is very fruity with notes of raspberry and cherry but also loads of acetone and solventy character. It’s not all that tart/sour either. Just a sort of muted fruitiness. Meh - not sure what the point of this one was.

Raspberries, a well-balanced touch of oak and what tastes almost like a light touch of vanilla. Some light maple in intial aroma as well. Pours maroon without much head or lacing. Finishes lightly sour with faint hint of barrel astringency. Nice mouthful here. Tap at Arrow and Loon.

A rosey dark copper ale with a thin creamy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet dark fruity malt with loads of raspberry, sherry barrel, nice. In mouth, a sweet acidity with corky character, light butterscotch, nice. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

[Draught at ’The Rhino Fall Beer & Cider Festival 2013’.] Pours a dark amber-brown with an average size lasting frothy tan head. Aroma of lightly sour raspberries and lightly roasted malt -- simple but nice. Flavour of somewhat tart raspberries and sweet malt along with a sour finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, a nice tart Brown Ale.

2013-10-27. Very dark brown body with a small creamy tan head. 3+ Aroma is sour and lightly lactic. Raspberry, moderate almost sweet brown ale undercurrent. Flavour is fairly tart and lightly sour, fruity raspberry, interesting base beer is sweetly malty before gaining a fair bit of tart fruit character. 7+ Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Pretty interesting. On tap at Rhino, Toronto

Draft - Vinous, sour cherry and roast malts. Dark maroon with a thin head. Sour cherry, chocolate, current and a sour finish. Refreshing but nothing special.

Pours a murky Rusty brown with a smallish off white cap. Nose is complex – grains, raspberries, fruits, sour, musty, under tones like a rich madeira. Flavour follows aroma with berry fruitiness and rich madeira tones carried on a palate puckering tartness….dry fruity finish with a hint of oak. One of the first really well done domestic wild ales I have sampled. I had the opportunity to sample this side by side with some draft Rodenbach, and although they are different kinds of sour ales, I preferred the FMB Rubus.

On tap at The Rhino Autumnfest. Reddish, with a big head. I would like more sourness, despite much raspberries added. A little sour in the finish, more of that. Medium mouthfeel.

Pours a dark caramel with an off-white, ring head. Aroma is slightly sour with raspberries and a hint of boozyness. Taste is sour with a tart raspberry aftertaste. Mild woodyness from the barrels. Medium body with a low carbonation. Clean and refreshing mouth feel. Overall not bad. Sour isn’t really my thing but this is pretty good. Refreshing and drinkable with just enough bite to keep it interesting. Good show!
