3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Though I love supporting the Flying Monkeys brewery, my one consistent complaint for the Smashbomb Atomic IPA is it has a somewhat bitter after-taste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (355 ml). Thanks to czar! Amber with a medium to large white head and good lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruits and malt along with some piney notes. Taste is moderately sweet and malty along with tropical fruits and piney notes. Moderate bitterness. Medium body. Palate is sticky. Too malty for my liking but still a very good IPA. Drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. May have been a little old. Hop aroma was present but muted. A lot of citrus and tropical fruit, but very subdued. Flavor was citrus, grapefruit, maybe some peach. Nice caramel malt backbone. Solid IPA. I’d love to try this one fresh.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really delicious, and totally unexpected from an Ontario craft brewery! Very cool to have this from my home province. Makes me wonder what else is out there from Canada these days?
Big hoppy presence - especially citrus in the aroma and flavor. Lots of bite, a beautiful orange/amber color. Frothy white head.

Pours a lighter orangy gold with some haze. Medium sized foamy head. Spritzy mouthfeel. Aromas of fresh hops, and lemon with a bit of bready notes. Spicy and citric with a good load of lemon grass and herb in the finish. A decent IPA

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
pours a golden brown with thick, white head. lots of grapefruit, lemon peel and bitterness in this. mouthfeel is extremely creamy which is really what puts this IPA above many others. great balance and rather easy-drinking despite the high IBU.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into chilled glass from bottle. Thick off white head. Aroma of citrus and an undertone of resin - very thick and creamy. Flavor of sweet malts and balanced hop bitterness. Thin to medium body - a little surprising for the amount of flavor. Hoppy clean and slightly bitter finish.

Unclear orange copper, rocky off white head fades. Fruity citrus hop aroma. Bitter citrus hop taste, grapefruit and tropical fruit, mild sweet malts and some spruce. Softly carbed, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Fruitiliscious. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
light body, average carbonation, bitter on the palate as an IPA should be. Resin, citrus, aroma and a hazy appearance. An overall good beer, with a lingering aftertaste on the back of the tongue.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
341ml bottle. Brown amber colour, moderate off-white head. Pine and resin with biscuit malt aroma. Taste is much the same with some earthy notes. Average body. There is some suspicion this wasn’t a fresh bottle, so I may need to try it again later.
