COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Holy Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, itís a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent thatís all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya Ė and dominates this beer.

Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. Itís like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory maltís signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, donít be fooled --thereís malt going on here, too, as youíll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy.

With the first taste, Smashbombís 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. Itís also incredibly drinkable. The oddity thatíll keep you tipping the glass is that as this citrus peel front subsides, you actually gleen the sweet flavours of the Victory and Crystal malts. Then, as the bread-puddiní bicuity sweetness of the malts are chased by the dry, tropical flavour of Citra and the fruit punch bouquet is all in your face with each sip, itís all is so damn intriguing, youíll be driven to keep on sampling...and sampling.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a hazy amber with minimal white head that leaves a slight lace.Pronounced citrus and grass nose. Big up front bitterness that just keeps going. Just enough sweet malts to provide balance. Medium slick body with good carbonation. Canít decide if this or Netherworld is my favourite from these guys.

From 330ml bottle, this very aromatic IPA pours a bright, clear amber with good carbonation, and a large white head that keeps quite well, with rich lacing. Complex fruity aromas, citrus and tropical. Strong hoppy bitterness, which is only moderately tempered by sweetness - this is not for the faint of heart! Prolonged taste and lingering aromas, bringing about some biscuit and caramel together with tropical fruits at the finish. This is the first time I try this one, but certainly not the last.

341 ml bottle into a tumbler. Pours a handsome amber colour with a light head. Hefty hoppy punch with the pleasant Citra hop. Plenty of citrusy flavour as well.

Pours a hazy amber with white head and some lacing. Aroma pf fresh citrus, light piney notes. Taste ihas lots of citrus, good bitterness, light piney notes, little malt backbone, dry finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. I find this one more refreshing than the pale ale. Refreshing and enjoyable.

Hazy amber with a creamy, hugs the glass lacy, white, sticky head. Smells of grapefruit, citrus, orange zest, pine, with some light malt. Medium thin light body with medium frothy carbonation. Tastes of fruit - peach with a pine, dry, hoppy finish. Rather consumed with hops with very little maltiness. The finish lingers.

Keg at BeerTown, Waterloo, Ontario, 28th April 2013. This is a great IPA, full of flavour, loads of bitterness, but well balanced, I could session this

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2015 Translucent golden brown with a quickly dissipating head. Pleasant malt, caramel, citrus, hop, and pine aroma. Creamy and refreshing. Notes of caramel, malt, grapefruit and an absolutely lovely potent hop finish that lingers for some time following each individual sip. Wonderful.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2014 Pours a clear amber with huge soapy off white head that laces the glass from top to bottom. Aroma is and awesome blast of grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a light clean maltiness in the background. Flavour has a high bitterness that lingers into the after taste, it?s grapefruit like, bready likely from the victory malt, a nice light fruitiness near the end and a dry finish.
