"Holy Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, itís a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent thatís all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya Ė and dominates this beer.
Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. Itís like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory maltís signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, donít be fooled --thereís malt going on here, too, as youíll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy.
With the first taste, Smashbombís 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. Itís also incredibly drinkable. The oddity thatíll keep you tipping the glass is that as this citrus peel front subsides, you actually gleen the sweet flavours of the Victory and Crystal malts. Then, as the bread-puddiní bicuity sweetness of the malts are chased by the dry, tropical flavour of Citra and the fruit punch bouquet is all in your face with each sip, itís all is so damn intriguing, youíll be driven to keep on sampling...and sampling.

355 ml bottle. Hazy amber with bright orange head. Aroma with loads of grassy and citrusy hops. Taste is dry, wood, pale caramel and citrus and grassy hops. Finish has some tongue numbing feeling to it.

Canít believe I hadnt rated this yet. Big hoppy brew with tons of grapefruit and citrus fruits to boot. Mild caramel malts blend well with copious amoints of hops to create a wonderful resinous hoppy bitter brew.

Poured from a bottle. Colour is orange to light amber. Some cloudiness throughout. Small headed with light to no lacing. Aroma was fruity with lingering hops. Taste gave hints of citrus, with some grapefruit notes. Strong hop bitterness that lingered in a positive way. All round great IPA.

Love the label. Pours orange, decent head. Aroma is citrus and sweet fruit. Taste is fruity at first which quickly leads into strong hoppy flavors. Tasty.

A good IPA. I guess only thing i didnít like was the bitterness of the beer kind of stuck around in my mouth a bit to long.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a hazy amber with minimal white head that leaves a slight lace.Pronounced citrus and grass nose. Big up front bitterness that just keeps going. Just enough sweet malts to provide balance. Medium slick body with good carbonation. Canít decide if this or Netherworld is my favourite from these guys.

From 330ml bottle, this very aromatic IPA pours a bright, clear amber with good carbonation, and a large white head that keeps quite well, with rich lacing. Complex fruity aromas, citrus and tropical. Strong hoppy bitterness, which is only moderately tempered by sweetness - this is not for the faint of heart! Prolonged taste and lingering aromas, bringing about some biscuit and caramel together with tropical fruits at the finish. This is the first time I try this one, but certainly not the last.
