oly Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, it’s a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent that’s all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya – and dominates this beer. Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. It’s like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory malt’s signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, don’t be fooled --there’s malt going on here, too, as you’ll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy. With the first taste, Smashbomb’s 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. It’s also incredibly drinkable. The oddity that’l

Pours a hazy amber with white head and some lacing. Aroma pf fresh citrus, light piney notes. Taste ihas lots of citrus, good bitterness, light piney notes, little malt backbone, dry finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. I find this one more refreshing than the pale ale. Refreshing and enjoyable.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 worldbeertaste (1121) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2013
Hazy amber with a creamy, hugs the glass lacy, white, sticky head. Smells of grapefruit, citrus, orange zest, pine, with some light malt. Medium thin light body with medium frothy carbonation. Tastes of fruit - peach with a pine, dry, hoppy finish. Rather consumed with hops with very little maltiness. The finish lingers.

Nice, easy pour with a slowly accumulating head. This beer truly looks fantastic. Citrus and grapefruit scent. Smooth, medium, nearly satin like texture. Unfortunately the bitterness is too much, just as I had anticipated after having read the description. This is simply a matter of preference rather than an objective measure though. Every other aspect of this beer is wonderful.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 andrewturba (456) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 23, 2013
Pours a clear amber with huge soapy off white head that laces the glass from top to bottom. Aroma is and awesome blast of grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a light clean maltiness in the background. Flavour has a high bitterness that lingers into the after taste, it’s grapefruit like, bready likely from the victory malt, a nice light fruitiness near the end and a dry finish.
2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jvezp (59) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 22, 2013
Smells great, taste is bitter but not much hop flavor. There is a metallic after taste. It’s not bad but I’ve had a lot better. Drinkable tough
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Karol (72) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 21, 2013
bottled. a gift from Canada. nice golden brown color with a creamy head. the aroma is citrus and grapefruit. the flavor is bitter as hell. full hops Armageddon! a long, very long lasting bitter finish. maybe too much of that bitterness. optimal carbonation. alcohol well hidden. oh boy, the bitterness is becoming too much for me, though I am used to bitter ales, but this one is like overhopped!. this is how real hops tastes like in a liquid form. overall, if you like hoppy and absolute bitter IPAs then this one is for you.

Lots of citrus on the nose. Clear bronze/orange colour with lots of carbonation. Head fades fast. Tastes quite citrusy with floral notes and pine. Pretty good IPA.

Bouteille 355ml.
