COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Holy Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, it’s a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent that’s all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya – and dominates this beer.

Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. It’s like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory malt’s signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, don’t be fooled --there’s malt going on here, too, as you’ll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy.

With the first taste, Smashbomb’s 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. It’s also incredibly drinkable. The oddity that’ll keep you tipping the glass is that as this citrus peel front subsides, you actually gleen the sweet flavours of the Victory and Crystal malts. Then, as the bread-puddin’ bicuity sweetness of the malts are chased by the dry, tropical flavour of Citra and the fruit punch bouquet is all in your face with each sip, it’s all is so damn intriguing, you’ll be driven to keep on sampling...and sampling.

Intense pine, tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, citrus zest, and dare I say dill pickle dominate the aroma. Pours a very light amber with a strong long lasting head. The bitterness coats the tongue that leads to a long lasting citrus/tropical fruit finish. One of my favorite IPA’s.

Rating #1120 - 06.07.2014 - I know I have had this before this bottle snag from @foxjunk, but apparently I suck at entering beers. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, pine, pastry dough. On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, mild resin. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Right up there with the best Canadian IPAs Ive tried.

Ambar. No demasiada espuma pero muy duradera. Aroma magnífico muy lupulado, pomelo, galleta, té. En boca textura excelente. Cremosa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Pleasure bar.. Floral hop aroma featuring orange & caramel. fruity flavor, with alcohol and a metallic harshness. A little thin on the pallet (but i think the brews here a little under carbonated.) harsh finish.

Tap30, Petoskey, MI, draft. Great, strong grapefruit-hop aroma. Lacing doesn't last. Bitter, but not over the top. Citrus upfront, pine on the back end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap in Ohio. Dark orange with thick white head and excellent lacing. Smells of citrus pine. Decent body. Pretty solid ipa.

Flaska från Pitchers i Örebro. Gyllengul med medelstor vit skumkrona. Dominerande doft av karamellmalt. Tyvärr en ganska trött flaska. Innehåller Citra, men känner inga citrus- toner. Dominerande beska och en del karamell- smak med mkt bitter efterton.

12 ounce bottle shared at a tasting, 6/8/15. Clear copper, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of floral hops, candied citrus and a mild metallic note. The taste is piney, resin hops. Thin bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

Almost no head, very resinous aroma, citrus, and some diacetyl. Taste is close to a double IPA, aftertaste is caramel, exotic fruit and alcohol. Ok beer, but a bit too unbalanced

Golden orange pour with fluffy off-white head. Semi-sweet malts, musty hops of citrus (orange, lemon, grapefruit pith), grassy. Wish it were fresh, but it’s not like I can readily get this beer.
