[3382-20100924] Cask. Mango tangerine and hoppy oranges aroma. Hazy, brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter blood orange flesh flavour has a long bitter aftertaste. Full body is quite bitter. So very tasty, I enjoyed this one right off the bat.

2010-09-24 at Cest What 2010 Fall Festival of Beers, day 1. Cask. Beer of the day. Hazy amber pour with an average off-white frothy cask head. Aroma - pungent, not at all sweet, mostly pineapple/mango juiciness with solid spruce/citrus bitterness; any alcohol didn’t make it through that lovely almost acidic character. Taste - frickin’ great - I can’t say it tastes that much different, or more honey-like, than the regular smashbomb - they’re both terrific - pungent acidic resin/citrus/evergreen hop bitterness (slightly catty) perfectly balanced against juicy sweet tropical fruit and, yes, a hint of honey in with the barely detectable alcohol: I went back for several more samples, and a pint of it on day 2 (8+). Average body, soft mouthfeel, quite astringent, modestly carbonated, with a long grapefruit-bitter finish/aftertaste - I’m SO happy there are some damnfine DIPAs being made in Ontario now!!

Cask at ’Cest What Fall Festival of Beer’. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a small lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma: Wow, that smells great! Lots of resiny hops and fruit. Flavour’s hoppy and fruity foremost followed by a long bitter finish -- it’s tasty and refreshing! Medium bodied. Fantastic and likely the best of the fest.

Flying Monkeys Smashjezebelhoneybomb on cask.  Appearance: cloudy orange, small white head. Aroma: holy cow! Super orange, super cat piss! Yay! Zingy, tangy and super refreshing. Flavour: wow! This is one for the books. It’s like California had come to Ontario!!!! Super hoppy, super mango, super lemon, lots of cat piss! Delicious!

Cask at Cest What – 22nd Beer Festival
Aroma hint of alpha hop feel with sweet feel behind. Very nice and refreshing.
Appearance hazed amber with medium top.
Flavor and Palate : chewy texture with thick feel to it. Plenty of hops yet brew it self was on sweet side. Bitter brew with happy end.

Hits DIPA territory with a 65 IBU, and some moderation there. Orange-amber colour, with lace. Does shred the tongue, but it is nicely drinkable Hoppy aroma.Medium mouthfeel.

2010-09-24. Hazy orange body with a modest beige head. 3+ Leafy green hoppy aroma, mild resin and citrus. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly hoppy throughout, with a melange of citrus, orange, grapefruit seeds, green hop notes in the finish are not my favorite (green leafy vegetation) 7+ Pretty solid. Honey? Probably the best of the festival, I went back for more. Tap at Cest What, Toronto
