Cervesa amb total protagonisme per la xocolata tant en gust com al aroma. Cerveza con un total protagonismo por el chocolate tanto en sabor como en el aroma.

January 2, 2015 - on draught at WVRST. Black with a pretty solid creamy brown head, looks good, fairly thick too. Tasting notes ... look, this is CHOCOLATE; dark chocolate, milk chocolate, choc milk, After Eight mint chocolate, a little chocolate liqueur (oh yes, thereís alcohol here) ... roasty, strong and bracing - hell yeah itís one-dimensional - did you notice the name? the box? Anyway, not a thick-bodied as I expected, but decent - a little undercarbonated, and it finishes like, well, chocolate milk - but if you go in with the right expectation, it delivers. My wife loved it.

750 mL bottle. The pour is a nice dark brown/black color with a large pillowy khaki head and a great sticky amount of lace. The aroma heavy chocolate. It's almost like a chocolate milk. The roast takes a back seat to the chocolate dominance. The flavor starts out a little weird, but then takes the chocolate milk back on. It's like chocolate syrup. Only a little thinner. The mouth feel is oily and slick with no real body to it at all. The aftertaste is lingeringly chocolatey and nice, but thin and quick fading. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is tootsie roll, a little boozy, chocolate milk. Appearance is black, brown head. Taste is a bit sour, roasted malt, dark chocolate milk. Mouthfeel is oily, but carbonated, aftertaste is nice. Overall, itís decent but there is some lost potential there.

Bottle. Color black with small head. Aroma chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, cocoa, milk, vanilla. Taste chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, vanilla, cream. Great beer.

Nearly black pour with a finger of mocha head that leaves a good layer of lace. Chocolate dominates the nose as one might expect. I get layers and layers of different chocolate notes, milk chocolate, hot chocolate, fresh fudge. There’s also a nice vanillan note wrapped around the chocolate. There’s a nice little licorice note added on the palate as well as a faint bitterness that offsets the light sweetness. Finishes with a drawn out slightly warming bittersweet chocolaty note. My only criticism would be that I would have liked some toasty malt notes to back up the chocolate.

750ml bottle from LCBO, Parkway Mall, Scarborough, ON. Pours an opaque dark brown colour with small lasting tanned head. Aroma of hot chocolate and a whiff of dark chocolate. Taste is complex. Crisp start leads to sweet chocolate milk middle and ends with a well balanced dry finish. Lively carbonation.

Black colour, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, milk chocolate, cacao, chocolate sprinkles. Chocolate flavour, malts, instant chocolate milk, very sweet. Sweet finish, chocolate, Nesquick. Promising but didnít deliver.

On tap. Pour pitch black with a brownish head. Big chocolate aroma. Absolutely huge. Wicked. More Chocolate on the palate, sweet, and some more sweet chocolate. Long finish. A little too sweet for me.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours black with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. EXTREME sweet chocolate aroma, overpowering anything else. Rich body, again very sweet chocolate notes while the roast is downplayed. Borders cloying but you kinda get used to it after a while. But still not a beer to be enjoyed in big glasses. 050215
