pours black with a dark brown head. Huge chocolate aroma right when I opened the bottle. everything about this is chocolate. alcohol is very well hidden. has an oily mouth feel. full bodied. does not finish as bitter as you might think. Pretty much as close to perfect as I could imagine. Make this in a nitro version, would be fantastic.

Scent of tootsie roll and white chocolate. Opaque brown colour. Strong chocolate flavour with slight bitter finish. Creamy mouth-feel with low carbonation. Great beer.

750 ml bottle into snifter, unreadable bottle dating. Pours dense pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, light coffee, roast, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, cocoa, and lactose sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, light coffee, roast, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Zero bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee, fudge, vanilla, cream, light coffee, light herbal, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and balance of big dark/roasted malt and cocoa nib/powder flavors; with huge malt robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and slightly chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding imperial chocolate stout. All around fantastic complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and cocoa nib/powder flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle received from Winter Santa 2013/2014. Thank you pushkinwow! Pours blackish dark brown with a creamy mocha head that leaves some small spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and slightly malty with toasted malts, caramel, Oreos, dark chocolate, whipped cream, vanilla fudge, chocolate milk and hints of soil. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter and tiny malty with roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanillin, whipped cream, chocolate pudding, Oreos, chocolate milk and hints of hay and soil. Mouthfeel is soft, round, very tiny watery and medium bodied. finish is slightly sweet, tiny bitter and slightly maly with roasted malts, dark chocolate, whipped cream, cocoa powder, chocolate milk, vanillin and hay. Chocolate overdose…

Chocolate flavor, cream, vanilla, loads of chocolate, quite sweet, loads of chocolate, but still kinda drinkable. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Bottled @ Camping Ratebeers 2014, small sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma is chocolate madness from miles away, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, mocha, cacao, vanilla. Liquid chocolate all the way. Quite sweet, slight bitter. I love these chocolate over the top kind of beers. Creamy mouthfeel. (guilty?) pleasure.
