2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 60 cl. Urugayan lager tasted in Belgian Dash, Goiânia, Brazil. yellow piss color with small head. Hard skunk aroma. It´s more strong in body that brazilian lagers, with hop bitterness (and skunk) in flavor. Unpleasant aftertaste.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Uruguay seems to produce four beers (god knows, I looked for more and came up dry in both Colonia and Montevideo): they are all very similar pale lagers. Nortena has a hint of sourness to differentiate it from its Uruguayan cousins. Do not buy Uruguayan beer looking for anything other than a standard pale lager. Usually in HUGE 1 liter bottles. Nortena was my favorite Uruguayan beer, due to the slight sourness lending it some complexity. Not bad.
