3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JohnRMurdoch (1573) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - SEP 2, 2010
Bottle in Montevideo, Uruguay. Biscuit cereal hop aroma & flavour. Pale yellow colour with a big head. Quite smooth for a lager.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 vyvvy (2920) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Pours clear light yellow with a quickly leaving white head. The aroma has pale malt, light veg, lager smoothness and a hint of hops. Medium / light smooth body with a good amount of lightly sharp carbonation. The flavor has some fairly sweet aroma and the rest is pretty much like the aroma traits. The finish is mainly the sweet maltiness. For a basic style lager this is pretty decent.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JUL 5, 2007
NOt as bad as one may suppose, but it did it’s job, while eating a good Uruguayan matambrito with apple. IT was a little strong after a while, but the flavour is not annoying.
2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 janubio (236) - SPAIN - APR 14, 2010
330 ml. bottle, it pours a clean golden colour, with a decent compact head that fades quickly, leaving a thin cloak on the surface. Nothing much in the aroma, just grains and some citrus. Crispy palate, medium to strong body, taste is clean and carbonated, nothing complex or special. Anyway, it’s refreshing and you could have some of them in a hot weather. I’d say it’s better than many of your typical industrial beers.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Russo (1056) - Campinas, BRAZIL - JUL 24, 2007
Bottle. Clear pale, thin white head and not persistent, aroma of hops, and a nice refreshing flavor, remember a little far the heineken, low bitterness and some sweety in there.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 lushawn (2242) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 23, 2011
bottle brought all the way back from Uruguay from my pal julio. some special anniversary casing. very fancy looking. notes of creamed corn, wet grass, touch of bittersweet lemongrass. A bit vegetal. Some light skunkiness. Crisp. Superior to many american pale lagers. Not too bad!
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MarkSachon (183) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2012
12oz bottle from Halftimebeverage.com Almost no detectable aroma hints at a lack of any real flavors. Golden color might hint a a strong corn base. Somewhat refreshing and best enjoyed in the warmer months instead of the middle of March as I mistakenly sampled way off the calendar prime.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - APR 13, 2008
Bottle from my brother in law’s last trip to SA. Pours yellow and fizzy with a white head. Nose is floral with some dry malty hints. Taste is unassuming with some dry malty character and a weird nutra-sweet aftertaste. Palate is thin and watery. Inoffensive for the most part. The artificial sweetner finish I could have done without.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 KimJohansen (10339) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2010
Clear golden with a medium off white head. Malty nose with hints of caramel. Flavor had malt, caramel and vague hops. Finished somewhat dry.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 solidfunk (662) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2011
A bit of a skunky hops taste puts this one above most of the Argentine macro lagers. Can’t say much more than that.... it was drinkable while I’m cooking an Argentina parrilla.
