COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its predominantly hoppy character and lighter body give it a subtle hop spiciness.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2005 Hoppy, tasty, by the bottle. Better than the lager effort. A revised rating, as the former I had rated was the Lager.

A slightly hoppy APA. Perfect on a hot summer day after playing kickball in front of the White House.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2005 Hoppy with the typical american ale feel. Better when enjoyed in DC waiting for the train from the tap.

Pours amber with a tint of red in it. Small tan head. Aroma is lightly hopped and suitably malted. Taste is a bit thin, to me. Hops and faint malt flavors with a bit of fruit. At the least, it is a drinkable session-type beer. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth. The finish, more of the taste but a bit weaker. Some hoppiness towards the end. Decent beer.

This brew is courtesy of Hopscotch. Medium amber color, small white head that faded slowly and left little behind.Light malty aroma with a decent hop presence and maybe a little lemongrass as well.Nice lightly malty flavor with a bit of fruit flavor hops and a mild bitterness in the end but mostly the brew stays fairly sweet. Not a bad brew at all,in fact it would make a nice brew for a hot summer day.

Pours a clear light copper with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is somewhat stale, but has nice caramel malty notes to it with a touch of nicely balanced hops. Body is lightly sweet and grainy with a mildly hoppy, smooth finish. Not that well balanced or complex, but a very drinkable brew.

whaleman (2175) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2004
Thick ripply white head and deep golden body with abundant carbonation. This beer is sour and buttery with some moderate bitterness. Balance is fair but could use some more caramel malts. Not a bad rendition of the English Pale Ale style. Misclassified as an APA.

hopscotch (7288) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2004
Crystal clear, golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is of bisquits, gauze and clover honey... maybe some mint. Well-balanced flavor with a note of honey and mild tartness. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, astringent finish.
