Batch #10. Hazy and pale, big massive oak, and some chewier elements. Has a big woody character, with a shot of sweeter, chewier stuff.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is massively funky, not sure if this is funky or if this smell is intentional, with loads of oak. Flavour is massively woody, with weird funky bacteria throughout along with oak. Quite an interesting one here. Really strong oak and very dry on the palate. I was on the fence about this after the first few sips, but after a while, it just becomes a burden to drink. Meh.

2015-06-06, bottle from the brewery, batch #10, 6-4-6-3-13=32
The first impression is terrible, the palate is tuned on other kinds of beer; then it shows a strange English character, a bit too earthy and dusty though, and with some vegetable bitterness.
I appreciate the effort and idea, but now this needs to start over with a different barrel and different beer.

2014-09-13, bottle at the brewery; batch #5, 6-5-7-4-15=37
Beautiful copper to light amber color. The aroma is lightly floral; there is some malt flavor, and it develops a mild funky touch, woody, leading to a final astringency; medium to strong bitterness.
Excellent experiment, interesting beer.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Bottle (22oz): Light golden ale but you can not see through it (SRM=11). Must be unfiltered. Nice 2 finger head on pour. Not especially bitter. Easy drinker. Bought 2 will revist this is my rating needs to be updated after aging for a while. Update: (07/14/14) This time it looks pretty clear to me. not sure why I said it was not last time. Did not change rating
