Refrigerated 75 cl green bottle poured into a white wine glass. Really pale clear straw with white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is nice slightly rich apple, light/medium body, medium/light carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is semi-dry apple. I bought several of the highest rated Virginia ciders this was my favorite, but a little light on flavor.

Bottle. Bright clear pale yellow color, champagne bubbles. Aroma of dried apple skins. Taste is very fruity apple flesh and skins, dry finish. Very nice.

From a bottle at Mad Fox in Falls Church VA. Pours a clear pale gold with with a few white bubbles for a head. Light apple aroma. Flavors of crisp green apples. Light bodied. Very refreshing.

Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Pours clear and bubbly, with a slight green tint. The aroma is green apples, with some crystal malts and light yeast. The flavor is sweet and fruity, but distinctly tart. It is light and dry, with a crisp, smooth finish. This is a delicious, fruity, well-made cider.

I’ve really enjoyed the Foggy Ridge ciders I’ve had, and this was no exception. Tart, citrusy, and some funky notes. This one had more apple character than the others, but was not overly sweet. Very tasty stuff.

Bottle from App Vintner - I tried this one like a week ago and found it funky with some lemony notes. I generally like funky, but this one bored me. Meh.

MicroGrog (303) - FT: Stale Polotmavý in Queens, New York, USA - JUN 7, 2012
Pricey bottle from Astor Wines. Ommegang Chalice. Clear, pale & yellow, with a slight sparkle. Smells of twangy apples, white wine, lemon & yeast. Grapey & sharp flavor. Lots of skin. Moscato-like sweetness. Lingering tartness. Rind. Yeasty, grassy finish. Thin & very spritzy. Alcohol seems in check. Hard soloing these bottles. Oooh me cabeza...

The aroma is enticing with sweet fruity apples and only a tad of alcohol. The appearance is yellow and without a head. The taste is not like the aroma with a tartness and a funkiness. The palate is average for the style. Overall not a very good cider but not bad either.

750mL Bottle poured at CiderDays 2010. Clean, plain stemmy aroma. Pours a middle golden, clear with white rime. Light and clean acid, bright and sharp, fairly clean and a little bit plain. I really enjoy the tartness that comes out of this, supposedly, from Virginia Crabapples, which was a surprise to me. Nice and dry finish. I though the palate was good, but the overall flavor profile a little shy.
