COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The famous Virgnia Stayman apples ripen late in mountain orchards but are worth the wait. Our Sweet Stayman Cider blends the original Stayman apple with heirloom varieties like Grimes Golden and Cox’s Orange Pippin to create a medium sweet cider to enjoy at any time.

The aroma is dusty and sweet with apples and water. The appearance is golden. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average for the style. Overall this is not great or bad but an average cider.

I prefer the dryer ciders but I still found this to be excellent...aroma is not strong but is apple, a little yeast, some astringent/dry note. My bottle poured clear and straw-colored. Taste is sweet, slightly tart but suffers in complexity, perhaps because of being just stayman? Still a good refreshing cider.

a lovely sweet cider with a high amount of carbonation and flavor. it has a great ordeal of sweetness and not too tart. the crispness of the apple are quite exquisite. brings a fine tasting cider to the table.

750ml bottle pours a transparent, bright yellow with one ring of white head. Nose is sweet, apples, candy, a bit buttery. Flavor is sweet, apples obviously, pears, candy. Full bodied, sweet finish.

Sampled at GT2’s birthday tasting. Clear fizzy yellow pour, small head. Mostly sweet apple and uninteresting effervescent mouthfeel. Meh.

Bottle from Beer Run. Pours a pale clear yellow with a thin wisp of a fizzy head. Aroma of sweet apples with a pithy, vinous finish. The taste is sweet apples with a slightly earthy finish. Medium bodied. Refreshing.

Clear yellow, no head. Lots of carbonation in the body. Apple sauce, ripe fermented booze, and apple juice. Light to medium body with ample carbonation and a nicely attenuated finish.

750mL pours a crystal clear yellow with big carbonation and suddy, fizzy white head. No retention or lace. Smells like C02, urea, and ripe red apples. Not looking so hot. Taste is sweet...very typical cider. Nothing interesting and certainly nothing to warrant a $16 bottle. Palate is sugary sweet, mild. Very mediocre cider. Eh.

Bottle shared by dkachur. Pours clear very pale yellow with no head. Aroma is apple, light wood, notes of grapes and light citrus. Flavor is apple, light alcohol, light straw, and faint vinous notes. Medium body, low warmth and carbonation.

This cider is fabulous. Made from Stayman apples you really get the flavors while still retaining the slight fizz and carbonation of cider. Not your grandma’s hard cider but almost an apple champagne. really good with sharp cheese.
