Swing top bottle. Deep golden color. Malt and toffee in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor, almost sugary with hints of butter, pineapple and toffee. Short aftertaste. Quite drinkable but a bit shy.

Bottle looks a bit old, but okay. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Starts strong, spicy, modest dry. Some sweet notes in the background. Finish dominated by spicy notes. Not too balanced, but okay.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - DEC 17, 2011
Herber, hell malziger Beginn. Leichter Hopfen. Laffes, etwas bananiges Finish. 6/6/7/6/7/6

Bügelverschlußflasche (donated by Stephane): Golden, almost no head to speak of; sweet-fruity (raisins) and slightly Tettnang-hoppy nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour; a tinge of alcohol in the sweet and - again - Tettnang-hoppy finish. A good, well balanced Bock...........

(33cl swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a short cream-coloured foamy head. Sweet cara-malty and biscuity aroma with a touch of oak-wood honey and traces of alcohol. Sweet-bitter flavour; full bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly biscuity malty and minimal honey-ish taste with shy notes of alcohol. Sweet and also quite bitter finish with a tinge of alcohol shining through. Decent, not too sweet pale Bock (14.07.08).
