Bottle @ In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst. Shared by a gentleman at the bar, who was himself a member of the Bierpallieters. Thank you very much. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, citrus and moderate barnyard. Flavor is medium sweet and rather acidic. Dry and rather acidic finish. 220712

Bottle from Jeremy, with Bill and Frank. Pours a hazy oranfe with small to medium off white head, tiny bubbles. Aromas and taste were sour and very tart lemons, oak, peach, fruit skins, tons of wood, and lactic acid. Light carbonation with a refreshing and salivating finish. Excellent.

2009 bottle at the 21st Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation. Pours a dark golden colour with a lacy white head. Aroma of wet cardboard, horse blanket, lemon and oak. Similar flavours and nicely tart with a very dry finish. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.

75cl bottle at home thanks to Paul and Heidi at the brewery. This was labeled as black label. Very nice blend which was hugely balanced. Not really different from other top vintages from Girardin but a classic non the less!

I’ve tasted this beer in Belgium last year, the one I had was aged of 2 or 3 years. Really interesting taste. Fruity aroma, not too sour, Was kind of soft ,fruity and a bit bitter in the end !

Pours a cloudy golden color with a huge white head. Amazing funk aroma that just immediately says Girardin. Lots of earth, must, grass, and sweat. Lemon peel and apple give a nice tartness as well. Some yeast and light bread flavor to go with all the funk and tartness. Lemon peel and green apple sourness as well as heavy grass, earth, and must with just a touch of tannic oak. Nice high carbonation and dry mouthfeel. Awesome stuff.
