75cl, Vintage 2009, Bottle 115/1400, new exclusive brew, thx to Secret Santa!, very complex sour brew, sour/woody and slightly fruity/floral, very balanced, cloudy, good head, top class!, yet expensive!, ’This hidden gem is often overshadowed by the sometimes overhyped lambics from 3 Fonteinen and Cantillon...’

Bottle. Light hazy amber liquid with minimal white head. Aroma of lemons, apples, apple skin, barnyard and light fruity funk. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of lemons, apple skin and light funk. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Really nice and dry.

750ml bottle, thanks to Travlr for sharing! 2009 vintage. Moderately hazy, darker orange color. Minimal off-white head, no lace. Big tart taste, a light bitterness. Bigger body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Big tart sour taste. Acidic, funky, lambicy aroma. Citrusy, lemony aroma. Deliciously funky gueuze. Very funky.

Corked and caged bottle shared by Travlr. Wow! Thanks! Pours a hazed yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma is fruity funky, dough, green apples. Taste is softly fruity sour. Very nicely balanced. The sourness is about perfect here. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Very good beer.

Corked bottle, n. 0572/1400, vintage 2009, 4 years old, courtesy of Jane (fonefan)
It opens with a loud pop; the bottle is a slow gusher; it pours a bright copper-gold color, with turbolent persistent perlage sustaining a medium sized head.
The aroma is clean and penetrating, pungent; acidic and fruity, with strong character of pink grapefruit, followed by dry cellar and cobwebs; finally some notes of cheese rind.
It’s well carbonated, the mouthfeel is therefore partially smooth; very dry, but with a good body structure, supported by a good malt flavor, plenty of pink grapefruit, correct bitterness, and a moderately astringent final.
Balanced and elegant. One of the best Gueuze I had in a long time.

750mL bottle, sent from xscottypx (thanks a lot, Scott!), pours a hazy dark golden copper with a small white head. Nose brings out medium barnyard funk, some wet cardboard, and some wood - very lovely aromatics. Flavour matches such exquisiteness, bringing out medium funky qualities, wood, some fairly prominent saltiness, some lemon, and both low acidity and low vinegary-ness. Extremely complex and highly drinkable. The unusual saltiness is worked in very well. Funky, woody and salty. Wonderful gueuze.
