500ml bottle (best before 1 January 2011) @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. A new brewery for me and I have to say I was quite impressed. Not the darkest imperial stout - dark brown and not entirely opaque - but still quite handsome. Lots of creamy chocolate, some licorice and chewy fruit. Touches of burnt bitterness at the end. Maybe a little sweet but pretty tasty.

Bottle. [thanks Feldthaus]
Deep brown with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has good milky chocolate and some cocoa nibs. Generally sweetish. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sweet, lots of chocolate. Nutella nuttiness, cocoa nibs, Muscovado sugar. Light vinious and a bit grainy and warming in the finish. Quite fine even if it is a bit one-sided.

Bottle, thx to Papsoe. Very pale for an imperial stout, ruby to brown body and a small, beige head. Quite pleasant aroma with coffee, roasted malts, some licorice and prunes. Licorice, roasted malts, chocolate and sweetness in the flavor. A bit low on bitterness maybe, both initially and in the finish. Full-bodied and almost sticky. A quite nice one, surprisingly pale in color, and a bit sweet. Else I like it. 100924
