Dark chestnut colour with a small tan head. Malty aroma of caramel and licorice. Too sweet licorice and roast malt flavour with a roasted finish

Sampled at CBF11 Pitch black. Tan head. Light cereal aroma. Some roasted cocoa. Pretty sweet with brown sugar. Roasted. Light bitterness.

Draft @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty licorice aroma with hints of chocolate. Roasted malty licorice and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle @ Voldby brewdog tasting. Pours dark brown with a brown head. Aroma of raosted malt, coffee, dark fruit. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, dark dried fruit, riasins, light hops. Medium body, soft carbonation. 190310

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, coffee and spice.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Very black, no head. Light licorice aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. More or less without carbonation. Mild chocolate and smokey licorice flavour, some bitterness. Standard imperial stout.

Lite rökig och chokladig i doften. Även chokladigt rökig i smaken. Besk rökig eftersmak.

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Quite much pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, some toffee and quite much liquorice. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some mild vanilla and wood as well. Pleasantly balanced.

Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Black beer, brownish head. Cocoa aroma, fruity, chocolate. Oily cocoa flavor, licorice, sweet fruits, roasted.

Bottle shared by faroeviking. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, liquorice and coffee. Flavour is similar with notes of caramel as well and a liquorice finish. Nicely balanced.

Bottled. A black beer with a beige head. The aroma is dominated by roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, vanilla, and smoke, leading to a dry roasted finish.
