Tasting at Papsø
Cloudy amber color; very small head. Nasty aroma of vegetables, cabbage, yeast, phenol; it’s like walking in a garden after the rain. Common flavor, some caramel, with unpleasant herbal touch, and a shade of alcohol. Bad.

thewolf (8666) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 30, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Inges Ost og Vin, Esbjerg.
Light hazy deep fruity red with a medium, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has berries, sweet caramel malts, bog myrtle, spicy, light pepper, some mild ash. Highish carbonation, a bit thin but okay dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet at first, mild biscuity, dry, herbal, soft sweet liqourice (anise) and quite a bit of black pepper. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a hazy and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel and spices with anise. The flavor follows the nose closely. The palate is sweetness. Overall a beer below average due to the heavy amount of spices.

faroeviking (8805) - HAITI - JUN 15, 2010
Fløska. Hazy Amber brown colour with a big creamy bubbly beige head, good lasting, leaves a good lacing. Hoppy quite spiced caramel aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is quite spiced with a good hoppiness, caramel, anise, malt and a light peppery touch. Bitter spiced malty dry finish. Not one I could drink much off due to the spices in it but a good brew.

Bottle. An almost clear beer, orangey golden and topped by a small beige lid of bubbles. Spiced nose with caramel maltyness and a good dash of orange-peel. Anise quite evident, and also the turmeric claims a place. In my book, this is more of a Christmas beer, but I guess with the right food it might work. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma, with more emphasis on the turmeric. Spiced, malty and fruity finish. A decent beer indeed, but it doesn’t suit my palate too well. 100522
