Bottle. Clear dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, spices and anise. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit, anise, spices, little metallic and tobacco?

Draught at Ølfestival 2012, thanks Martin. Hazy red-brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and light roasted aroma of caramel, spices and licorice. Sweet and light roasted flavour of caramel, spices and dried fruits. Light roasted finish.

Draught at CBF12. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Red-amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Strong anis notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Heavy anis notes. Long nice moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A clear one, dark reddish brown in color and with a small, beige head. Some toffee, a touch of licorice and some faint milky hints. Full to medium body, soft carbonation. The flavor is like the aroma, quite uninteresting and not too pleasant, with caramel maltyness, some licorice hints and dried fruits and a quite pleasant bitterness. Bitterness and dried fruits in the end. Some coffee notes too. Not a favorite of mine. 120330

Pours clear deep brown with a off.white head, Aroma has notes anise, malt and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonaiton is soft.

Clear medium brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, burnt caramel, burnt plastic, star anis. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, chocolate, spicy, star anis, burnt plastic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120201]

Pours a clear and dark nut brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with malt, spices and anis. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall a one-dimensional and boring beer.
