COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Appalachian style IPA brewed with simcoe and citra hops and fermented with 75lb local carrots from A Way of Life Farm in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Expect subtle notes of coconut water, sweet earth and Queen Anne’s Lace.

I didn’t get a ton of carrot flavor in this...maybe a hint. That said, it had a wonderful aroma, great bitterness and flavor and a wonderful palate, so the fact that it was a great IPA overshadowed the fact that I wished there were more carrot in the flavor.

On tap at Fonta Flora. Pours a copper color with white head. Grassy, hoppy, earthy, slight carrot aromas. Earthy, hoppy, citrus, bitter, and very slight carrot flavors. The carrots are very subtle and work with the hops in this IPA. Very solid.

Howler to snifter (shared by Dogbones). Looks good; a mostly transparent orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; hoppy with notes of carrot and a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A nice take on the style.

Local pour at Fonta Flora. Great beer. Pours orange with no haze. Smells of hops lightly floral. Made with local carrots. Tastes sweet with a great hop presence. Awesome beer! I dig the local ingredients and the think outside the box approach.
