Experience: Guaranteed to deliver an unspoken zen with a spatula in your other hand... The ultimate suburban brew, Backyahd is an aggressively hopped American IPA with a tantalizing hop aroma. The beer’s bitterness pairs perfectly with spicy foods coming straight off the grill. Enjoy it with friends, family, or whomever you choose. After all, it’s your Backyahd.

On tap at 108 Roadhouse - Peace Dale, RI. Minty, leafy green aroma. Mild. Flavor starts malty and sweet, with a distant notion of hop flavor. Dusty, coarse green bitterness closes out. Kind of confused, kind of English, kind of American middle of the road IPA. Needs some refinement and more hop aroma and flavor. Not super-impressed.

Can thanks to Travlr: Poured a hazy yellow to golden with white head. Aroma was light citrus hops. Taste was gritty citrus hops, but not harsh. Very refreshing and drinkable.

A light amber hue with a fast fading white head. Aroma had a nice sweet caramel malt presence upfront. Hops were mostly resinous pine, but there was a dank almost wet carpet note to it. Mildly sweet flavor, but mostly bitter. A slightly dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at Track 84 Warwick, listed as Prince of the Yahd Comes to the table in a proper imperial pint glass. Visually, a slightly hazy light golden color with a huge fluffy creamy head that survives till the glass is empty. Extremely impressive retention! Aromas of bready malt and floral and citrusy hops. Flavor is bready with hints of caramel and just enough citrus and earth to balance with a nudge to the hop side. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. First beer of the night, so easy drinking, it slid completely down my throat before I knew it. Might be more of a pale than IPA, but its a solid brew.

Very plain iPa - goes down easily but lacks a strong hoppy flavor and a backbone so overall pretty thin. I caught some soapiness a few times. Won't order another but would certainly have over a Sam's ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild west coast citrus hop aroma. Deep slightly hazy amber color topped with a bubbly one finger head. Mild bitterness that finishes on the clean side. Not a bad IPA but also kind of plain.

12oz can from Georgio’s, Billerica, MA. A slightly hazy pour with a thin cream head; spicy west coast hop aroma; soft body with a fruity citrus backgound; and a crisp, but undefeined finish. Not the best American IPA, but it’s good to get an RI tick.

a fair canned six pack to try from this RI brewery. slight organge color in this clear ipa when poured into a glass. Aroma is a little herby and pine. A pretty strong bitter. I actually prefer the ones i drank right fromt he can. retains aroma better. Could use some balance of sweetness.

12oz can into a can NBPT brew co. pint.,sampled during game 3 of the 2013 NLCS. Head is massive, fluffy and full, a few inches after a fast pour. Hangs out awhile too. Aroma is dry and piney, some citrus currents are there, also a bittering full frontal occours while going down and after. Hops a juicy at first, but turn bland rather fast and dull the enjoyment. Color is clear pale orange. Orange fruit chews come into play awhile into this brew, as does the orange gatorade that was a bit too warm to begin with. The canning is pretty cool, the brew is a solid average.

20 oz. draft. Pours a nice orangish gold, translucent, thin head, good lacing. Smell is underwhelming, caramel faint buttering hops, no finishing hops. Taste is slightly sweet malt, Touch of citrus, very bitter, doesn't have the finishing hops that are prevelant in most IPAs. Drinks more like a lightly malted APA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Moderate hop aroma, really getting more caramel sweetness on the nose though. Crystal, still orange with a small carbonation give-off. Citric grapefruit sweetness, bitter elements relegated to the side. Smooth body, comes off a little strong. Good ’90’s style’ IPA made today.
