COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Experience: Guaranteed to deliver an unspoken zen with a spatula in your other hand... The ultimate suburban brew, Backyahd is an aggressively hopped American IPA with a tantalizing hop aroma. The beer’s bitterness pairs perfectly with spicy foods coming straight off the grill. Enjoy it with friends, family, or whomever you choose. After all, it’s your Backyahd.

On tap at 108 Roadhouse - Peace Dale, RI. Minty, leafy green aroma. Mild. Flavor starts malty and sweet, with a distant notion of hop flavor. Dusty, coarse green bitterness closes out. Kind of confused, kind of English, kind of American middle of the road IPA. Needs some refinement and more hop aroma and flavor. Not super-impressed.

Can pour. Soapy on the nose. Extremely light bodied. Not a ton of flavor. Comes across more as a Belgian, strangely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A nice tropical fruit nose that eases into the flavor, some bitterness but overall a nice IPA. Almost wish it were more sessionable, 6% ABV just pushes it out of range to have a stack of these next to the grill.

Can from Nikki’s Liquors. Pale orange pour with a small soapy white head. A little earthy, a lot metallic. This isn’t very good at all.

Location: Can at Ogie’s Trailer Park, 3/28/15

Aroma: Light hoppy aroma, lemon, grass, pine.
Appearance: Clear good color, small head, light lace.
Flavor: Clean, light bitter flavor.
Palate: Smooth and clean, dry finish, and slightly metallic.
Overall Impression: Love the name. It forces you to do a bad New England accent when ordering, which is always fun.

Dry finish. Moderate hops, but building over time. Somewhat earthy. Good lacing.

Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of your typical cascade hops, soap, and some dusty malts. Oil slick carbonated palate. Flavors are of dry hops, malts, and aluminum. Leaves a dry hopped finish. Nothing special here.

From the can. No dates anywhere. Pours a slightly murky golden amber with a decent white fizzy head. Earthy, grassy hops notes on the nose with toasted biscuit. Medium body. The taste boasts a big hop bitterness than the aroma might suggest. Lingers.

Slightly hazy gold, no head to speak of, Nose is muted pine. Bitter. Middle is orange and light caramel malt. Finish is decently bitter.

Poured a medium rust colour with minimal head. Nice nose of hops that followed in the mouth.

Brattleboro Food Coop six pack: pours amber with a whitish head. Aroma is pine and sugary malts. Taste is bitter drom start to finish with hints of sugar later on. This is about as east coast ipa as you can get. Ok.
