22 oz bottle from Julios. Rated off the bottom of the bottle. A hazy light orange brew. Little to no head. Citrus-bread aromas. Flavor is also very bready with citrus-yeast overtones. Low hopping. Seems like a mix of a Belgian Wit and a German Hefe. Lingering burnt rubber notes.

Has soft belgian yeast and citrus aroma. Mild hazy orange body. Foamy head that laces nice on the glass. Citrus and bread taste. Champagne like bubbly mouth feel with a soft doughy finish. Pleasant and refreshing. Enjoyed this one a lot.

Can. Cloudy orange pour with a white head that fades down fairly quickly. Aroma is strong Belgian yeast with light funk and citrus. Taste is yeasty, spicy, bubble gum, dough, and banana peel. Soft on the palate. Comes off like a higher ABV heavier wit.

Tap at The Malted Barley. Aroma is funky and farmhouse yeast with straw and honey malt, earthy hops, pear esters with black pepper. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Flavor is tart and funky Brettanomyces with light crisp malt, light fruity esters, ginger and black pepper, earthy hops and medium bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and carbonation.

Can from Meditrina. Clear pale copper with white head sinking to ring. Mild spicy aroma with a hint of citrus and lots of sweet fruit and honey. Sweet honey and fruity malts and vanilla with some grain and grass. Mild and complex spicy bitterness. Fairly dry finish with some lingering bitterness and sweetness. Fine carbo and medium body. Complex, but not my style of saison. Seems more like a biere de garde.

Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a tulip glass. The color is a yellow/gold with two and a half fingers of foamy white head with a soft lacing left on the glass. There seems to be lots of bubbles in this beer. The smell is boozy like an American lager with some slight hints of banana and figs in the nose. The taste is light with a sugary dough flavor that is a pick to take in a first. The sweetness sits for a bit on the tongue for a bit making this a slow sipper. There are some interesting dry fruit flavors that appears after each sip. There is a touch of cherry and hints of melon. The feel is a light bodied smooth drinking beer with some interesting character that keeps me involved. The flavor is better then expected and is very pleasing even after the beer is gone.

Stunned by the low ratings on this one. It’s a solid saison, very, very flavorful. I appreciate the higher ABV, which is unusual in this style. Saison-type malt flavor in abundance. Good but a bit hidden Belgian yeast notes (although they come through at the back end). Lower carbonation, as is typical for an American saison. Really, this one is good.

A slightly murky mostly yellow body with a white head. Head was frothy but faded to a thin coating, nice lace. A nice presence of carbonation. Aroma had a nice fruity note initially, black pepper and a bit of coriander. Some barnyard notes to it. Flavor was surprisingly bitter at first. A blend of fruits some banana and a bit of citrus. Carbonation was appropriate. A decent brew.

Hazy orange straw pour. Big off white head that dissipates quickly. Big banana and medium earthy hop aroma. Yeasty, bread, and banana aroma. Crisp yeasty dry finish. ---Rated via iPhone

On tap at Pour Judgment. Milky yellow pour with a white head. Floral bouquet. Biscuit, lemon zest, and floral highlights. Some medicinal hoppy bitterness. Good body and mouthfeel.

12 oz can. Cloudy yellow-copper pour with a thin fizzy off white head. Aroma of yeast and faint barnyard funk. Clean, crisp finish that hides the somewhat surprising 7.8 ABV which can sneak up on you. Not sure why it doesn’t get more love, one of my go-to locals during the summer months.
