Pours a five+ finger, brown head that fades very slowly leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Fierce carbonation and medium bodied-heavy bodied. Light chocolate nose and flavor is roasted/almost burnt chocolate. Not a bad RIS but expecting a more sweeter/maltier flavor. $6.99 for a 22oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, MA. Bottled Nov 2013.

My Bottom Line:
Mochaccino flavors are surrounded by roastiness and molasses before leading to a raisin-y finish licked by hop and malt bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the brown-edged black.
-Alcohol heat works well with the finishing bitterness.
-Green hops are also found within.
-This goes well with wasabi-flavored dark chocolate (Lindt).

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 Opaque, lacy.
Very aromatic, perhaps cheesy but not exactly.
Very full body, matching flavor intensity, smooth, almost oily texture, just right alcohol heat and carbonation, long palate, classy finish.
Bitter but perfectly balanced by sweetness and a hint of acidity, less than the typical stout.
Roast flavors, more like bittersweet chocolate than coffee, yeasty.
As good as any stout can get.

On tap at Battleship. Pours a black motor oil color with a thin caramel colored head. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, toastiness and a little smoke. Flavor is of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolates, smoke, booze. Seems like it might still have been a little hot.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 black pour with thick brown head. nice roasted malt aroma. very smooth flavor everything seems to blend well, roasted malts, oats, mild chocolate notes. very rich, has bitter/alcohol after taste. certainly wasnt disapointed, great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Barley’s during the RBWG opening ceremonies. The pour’s deep brown with a small head. Strong yoghurt on the nose. Uh oh. Accents of oatmeal raisin cookie, chocolate. A bit tart. The taste is tart, some soured cream. Chocolate, mild coffee. oatmeal cookies. Full body, moderate carbonation. Clearly something’s amiss.

Bottle - Roast malts, coffee and some dark fruit. Jet black with a thin beige head. Dark roast coffee, chocolate and a bitter finish. Very rich on the palate.

Bottle shared at Barley’s during the opening dinner of RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours black-brown with a beige foam head. So so stuff overall. Good cocoa, faint tangy berries, heavy charred malts. Medium to full in body with fine carbonation. Warming finish with bitter char and further baking cocoa. OK.
