Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, malt, and cocoa. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cocoa, and alcohol, leading to a dry cocoa finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue.

Sampled at a Freetail release, bottle share. Pours a dark, deep brown with some ruby highlights and a mocha head. Aroma is roasty, chocolate and espresso. Flavors are similar and adds milk chocolate and medium sweetness. Very nice lingering coffee/cocoa finish. I’d seek this one out again.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Nose is cocoa, peanut and hay. Medium to full body with a tingle. Taste is prune, black olive, molasses and licorice. Rustic and spot on style-wise but a bit too bitter for my taste to really shine.
