Got to try this one at the brewpub at the release party. One of the first three glasses poured off the keg. Served from tap into a Foothills fat pilsner (at least how I would describe it). Pours a deep dark brown basically black with a one finger light tan head that lingers throughout. Maintains phenomanial lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of malt, subtle fruit, oatmeal, and a very slight hop hint. The flavor was of oatmeal, malt, dark fruit, and a hint of alcohol upon warming up to room temperature. It had a medium feel on the palate with mild carbonation, almost a creamy texture as it goes down. Overall this was quite an excellent brew. Had a very smooth and creamy feel to it that made it go down oh-so easy. The appearance on this one was quite good. While the aroma was quite complex it lacked some intensity to it, but was still nice. However, the flavor totally made up for the lack of aroma intensity. This is a definite must try for sure.

I brought this one to our Stout Day party.

A - Pours extremely dark brown with a nice one finger tall off white head leaving small streaks of lace down the glass.

S - This one is fairly roasty with hints of coffee and chocolate. It has a tiny bit of mineral flavor as well. The smokey charred wood aroma mixes well with the dark roast.

T - Starts off with some slightly sweet dark roast quickly giving way to a mix of coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and charred wood. The finish is a mix of dark roast and light smoke, lingering on the pallet for some time. The smooth feel really helps this one out, helping to bring all the flavors together.

M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Smooth, roasty, feel throughout. Very little booze flavor in this one.

O - I really enjoyed this one. It had plenty of flavor and was easy to drink. One of the better baltic porters I have had recently. I didnít detect a lot of alcohol in this one, I think the year in the cellar did this one some good.
