22 ounce bottle pours black. Aroma is heavy chocolate and graham crackers with just a little booziness. Very sweet and malty with a nice drying finish. The chocolate in this is just superb. Very good beer.

Same sexual chocolate, with a sweet flavor profile, medium body for the style, and more sweet cocoa than coffee/roast/fruit notes. Barrel aging makes it slightly more interesting.

Bottle at home courtesy of Eric, Thanks man!! Pour is deep brown almost black with frothy tan head and good lacing. Rich dark chocolate, vanilla, graham crackers, bready, espresso, green peppers, and earthy hops in the aroma. Taste is cocoa nibs, coffee, somewhat spicy, toasted bread, leather, smoke, bourbon, and woody. Slick mouthfeel with sot carbonation. Really nice stout and a real treat to try.

Bottle shared @ Dean’s aged pale lager tasting, courtesy of kermis. Side by side with the regular version. Pours another pitch black beer with a thinner beige head on top. Aroma has massive bourbon notes, wood, licorice, brown sugar and caramel. Some vanilla going on. Flavor is even more sweet than the regular version, loads of bourbon and sugar. Chocolate is present, but has faded a bit in the background. Cloying sweet, dry finish. Very complex, very nice beer!
